Po njihovem pregledu avtor predlaga še svoj odgovor na vprašanje, kaj travmatičnega se je Prešernu v Ribnici zgodilo.

The uppermost Ladinian to Lower Jurassic Zatrnik Formation is the lithostratigraphic unit of the Mesozoic deeper marine Bled Basin. The uppermost part of the Zatrnik Formation and the transition into ...the overlying Ribnica Breccia was logged at the Zajamniki mountain pasture on the Pokljuka mountain plateau in the Julian Alps. The lowermost part the section belongs to the “classical” Zatrnik Formation and is dominated by beige micritic limestone and fine-grained calcarenite. Foraminifers Siphovalvulina, ?Everticyclammina, ?Mesoendothyra and ?Pseudopfenderina are present, indicating Early Jurassic age. The beige limestone is followed by light pink limestone of the uppermost Zatrnik Formation. Slumps are common in this interval, and crinoids are abundant. Alongside some species already present in beds lower in the succession, Meandrovoluta asiagoensis Fugagnoli & Rettori, Trocholina sp., Valvulinidae, small Textulariidae, Lagenida, and small ?Ophthalmidium also occur in this interval. Resedimented limestone predominates through the studied part of the Zatrnik Formation, indicating deposition on the slope or at the foot of the slope of the basin. The switch to crinoid-rich facies within the slumped interval of the Zatrnik Formation may reflect accelerated subsidence of the margins of the Julian Carbonate Platform in the Pliensbachian. The Zatrnik Formation is followed by the formation of the Pliensbachian (?) Ribnica Breccia. Impregnations of ferromanganese oxides, violet colour, and an increase in clay content are characteristic. The foraminiferal assemblage consists of Lenticulina, small elongated Lagenida, and epistominids. Individual beds of the Ribnica Breccia were deposited via debris flows. Enrichments in ferromanganese oxides point to slower sedimentation.
Benthic macroinvertebrata (macrozoobenthos) are widely used for water quality assessments because they are considered as one of the best indicators of habitat quality in running waters, very ...conventionally called as „river health“. Benefits of research on macroinvertebrates include the quick assessment of biological resources for conservation purposes and the detection of water pollution. This research was performed in accordance with the EU Water Framework Directive (WFD). AQEM methodology was used for macrozoobenthos specimen collection from six sampling sites along quarry Ribnica’s main hydroecosystems – the Forest creek (quarry's water supply system) and the estuary of the river Ribnica (Mar-Sep, 2016). Laboratory analyses were carried out for the purpose of separation, counting and final taxonomic identification of organisms. Cluster analysis and diversity index computing were performed using BioDiversity Pro 2.0 software. Our findings suggest the existence of 15 taxa from classes Gastropoda, Hirudinea and Insecta with a total number of 454 sampled individuals. The Insecta class was the most numerous one with respect to the species found, including larvae of the orders Ephemeroptera, Plecoptera, Trichoptera and Diptera. Shannon-Weaver and Simpson diversity indices revealed highly developed communities of aquatic macroinvertebrates at all sampling sites. Water quality along quarry Ribnica based on macrozoobenthos indicator species of saprobity was found to be classified into moderate, low and non to very low polluted (Quality class I-II). Further long-term monitoring studies of macrozoobenthos are necessary in order to keep track of the good ecological status (GES) observed at quarry Ribnica’s aquatic ecosystems.
In this article are presented and analysed local legends and myths about the supernatural being the Psoglavec (dogheaded/ Cynocephalus), the Werewolf, the Wolf Herdsman and Attila which survived in ...Ribnica, Slovenia and its surroundings. The name Psoglavec (dog-headed) is used as an insult for the inhabitants of the Sodražica community even today. These traditions have their roots in local myths, which are reflected in the mythological landscape. Different layers of myth with similar notions point towards a belief concept about the Wolf Herdsman, which was contaminated with other supernatural beings and historical figure of Attila.
This article presents ethnographical research of mountain the Mala gora (Small Mountain) located in southern Slovenia in the vicinity of Ribnica, Dobrepolje, Velike Lašče and Kočevje. Local legends ...and myths are preserved about the mythical landscape of Mala gora, which can be connected with ideas such as the world axis, perceptions of connections with the underworld and the main Slavic myth. Author presents new findings related to Perun and Mokosh, which are preserved in local names as Makoše village, water spring Perin and various supernatural beings connected with these perceptions. Folk beliefs that are connected with this landscape can be also compared to pre-Slavic myths and beliefs of Mother Earth.
he article focuses on Janko Trost, a longtime principal of and teacher at the middle school in Ribnica; the founder of the museums in Ribnica and Idrija; a choirmaster; and a story-teller. In ...addition to these pursuits, he was also interested in research, topography, painting, and puppetry. Trost was the first to define the various types of woodenware and their extent. He was a trustee of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments in Slovenia, both in the wider regions of Ribnica and Kocevje, and of Idrija. When working on issues related to cultural heritage, he closely cooperated with ethnologists Boris Orel and Niko Kuret. The ideas and views of Janko Trost, which can be gleaned from the still-preserved sources, are still valid today. Due to his pedagogical expertise, he was capable of presenting everything he undertook to the people around him. It is therefore hardly surprising that many contents he designed over five decades ago are still relevant and very much alive today; among them are the Idrija Municipal Museum and the Museum of Ribnica.
Terra rossa and eutric cambisol soils were surveyed in Slovenia. At both sites, 6–13 boreholes were drilled in a regular 24 m × 24 m square grid. Soil samples from various depths were taken for gamma ...spectrometric analysis, and radon in soil gas was measured at a depth of 80 cm using an AlphaGuard instrument. The following ranges of activity concentration (Bq kg⁻¹) were obtained for ²³⁸U, ²²⁶Ra, ²²⁸Ra, ⁴⁰K and ¹³⁷Cs: in terra rossa, 64–74, 70–84, 45–49, 293–345, 20–30 and, in eutric cambisol, 55–80, 132–147, 50–57, 473–529, 106–272. Radon activity concentrations in both soils ranged from about 100 kBq m⁻³ to 370 kBq m⁻³.

Kdo bi ju ne poznal! Naša zdomarja s krošnjo, s kanonom na hrbtu. Zapiski govore, da so že pred letom 1362, ko je bila v loški listini suha roba prvič omenjene kot tržno blago, krošnjarili Ribničani po svetu.
Zdomarji prihajajo ponajveč iz Ribniške doline, roba pa od izdelovalcev, ki žive v vaseh okrog Sodražice.
Svet je tod pust, zemlja skopuška in živeti se ne da od zraka. In zato je naš Ribničan že pred stoletji našel rešitev... Les!
Česa vsega se ni naučil izrezati iz lesa! Vendar je delo zamudno in kruh trdo zaslužen.
Še nekaj potegljajev in kadica bo narejena. Pa obiščimo še kakega Sodražana. Tale dela obode za sita. Za obode je potreben posebno dober les, ta pa je redek in drag.
Gladek les, spretna roka in dober nož in obod je malone nared.
Treba ga je še omehčati in okrepiti, in če bo mož naredil dovolj obodov, jih bo mogoče še danes zapeljal v zadrugo. Da, dovolj jih bo. Voz je poln.
No, če prav premisliš, zadruga ni slaba reč. Kupi ti vso robo hkrati in dobro plača. Kaj hočeš več! Izdelovalec to dobro ve. In tu čaka naš junak - zdomar. Kupil je robo in zdaj pojde z njo v svet. Težak je njegov tovor in pred njih je še dolga pot. Peljala ga bo kam daleč na jug ali pa mogoče visoko v hribe, kjer ni prodajalen in kjer gre njegova roba še v denar.
Kam zdaj? Lani sem bil v Banatu, kjer so mi odmerili žita, letos pojdem na Gorenjsko! Glej no glej, saj to je Jože in Sajevca! Pozdravljen! Pozdravljen! Torej greš tudi ti z doma? Kam to pot? Menda ne v tujino? In zdaj se pomenita o vsem: kako je doma, kdaj se bo hči omožila, kako kaže letina. Povesta si zgodbe in zanimive pripetljaje. Na postaji se ločita. Vsak gre svojo pot. Urlep na vlak, naš junak Jože pa je bi torej sklenil, da jo mahne v hribe. Pot je strma in krošnja pritiska k tlom. Po nekaj urah joda prispe Jože na cilj. Poglej, gospodinje že čakajo! Sicer sem malo zasopel, a pri petih križih, ni vrag, da bi človek stopil počasneje.

Kdo bi se mu upiral! Saj ne moreš! Naš Jože že zna prepričati. Malo šale, in zlasti šele, in malo zares - in kupčija je sklenjena. Ljudje ga imajo radi, kamorkoli pride. Saj pravzaprav nikoli ne gre samo za robo in kupčijo. Ljudem je važnejše nekaj drugega - dobra volja.
V mestu pa je podoba čisto drugačna - trgovine z modernim poslovanjem, v katerih ima besedo že tudi industrija. Stvar je tu preprostejše in cene so nižje od krošnjarjevih. Zdomarji - danes jih je samo še kakik 40 od 600, kolikor jih je bilo včasih - se bodo tako počasi porazgubili v hribe, da jih kmalu skorajda ne bomo več poznali. Prispevek obravnava seznam potnih listov, ki jih je leta 1802 in vprvih petih mesecih leta 1803 izdalo zemljiško gospostvo Ribnica. Podatki o prosilcih za potni list so v veliki večini primerov ...podatkovno bogati: ime in priimek, bivališče, starost,prosilčeva telesna konstrukcija, osebni stan (poročen ali samski), ciljni kraj in namenpotovanja ter visina plačanih pristojbin. Čeprav so podatki o namenu potovanja oziroma o vrsti potnega lista precej pavšalni, pri ciljnih krajih pa so praviloma zajete vpaketu vse cesarsko-kraljeve dežele, je seznam prvovrsten vir o krajevnem izvoru ter starostni in socialni strukturi fantov in mož, ki so se v začetku 19. stoletja sezonsko ukvarjali s trgovino, predvsem s suhorobarstvom in krošnjarstvom. Seznam je v prilogi objavljen v slovenskem prevodu. Na njegovi podlagi sije za ta čas mogoče ustvaritiprepričljivopodobo tipičnega Ribničana,potujočegaprodajalca izdelkov domače lesne obrti.
