Structural capital is "organizational-level knowledge" present in the firm as a result of a learning meta-process called institutionalization. This knowledge basically resides in organizational ...routines, processes, strategy and culture which codify and preserve memories and knowledge. The purpose of this paper is to determine the relationship and influence of the structural capital on organizational performance. This study was conducted at Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) Headquarters and aims to address the significance element in intellectual capital focusing only on structural capital towards organizational performance. A mixed method research approach was used with a pragmatic knowledge claim with strategies of inquiry that involve sequential quantitative and qualitative data collection through questionnaire survey and interviews. Overall results revealed that structural capital do matters and have a significant influence on organizational performance of TM. The findings obtained in this study particularly useful for both employers and employees in understanding the importance of structural capital towards performance of TM. It is suggested that TM should implement system and program framework to be part of TM's policy as a contribution to TM's organizational success. The study also implies that the importance of structural capital should be emphasized not only to TM but also to other organizations for future research.
This paper investigates the adaptation of the Open Innovation (OI) model in the ICT industry. The focal point of this paper is the investigation of the knowledge flow in ICT companies, analyzing ...outside-in and inside-out innovation processes. After elucidation of the OI model, we will exemplarily explain the adaptation of the OI approach in the ICT's industry by presenting the case study concerning the innovation policy within the Deutsche Telekom.
Im Rahmen eines Modellversuches erprobt die Deutsche Telekom AG für zwei Berufe die Integration des Fernstudiums in die betriebliche duale Ausbildung (Industriekaufmann mit Studium zum ...Diplom-Betriebswirt (FH) und Fachinformatiker mit Studium zum Diplom-Telekommunikationsinformatiker). Ziel der Doppelqualifikation ist es, Führungskräfte mit praktischer Ausbildung zu gewinnen. Mit jedem Studiengang werden zwei Modelle erprobt: eine gemeinsame Ausbildung und ein gemeinsames Studium als virtuelle Lerngruppe und die Integration eines Fernstudiums unter Einbindung einer Berufsschule. Im Beitrag wird das Modell unter dem Aspekt der Integration von Fernstudium und Berufsschule betrachtet. Mit konventionellen Lehrbriefen könnte daraus ein neues Modell für duale Studiengänge entstehen. Forschungsmethode: praktisch-informativ. (BIBB2).
A recent phenomenon in competition policy is the acquisition of a private firm by an enterprise that is either wholly owned by government or in the midst of privatization. Such an acquisition poses ...the question of how public ownership may alter the incentives of a firm to engage in anticompetitive conduct. It also prompts one to examine the process by which such altered incentives revert, as the level of government ownership declines, to the same incentives that face purely private firms. Using Deutsche Telekom's acquisition of VoiceStream Wireless as a case study, this article presents the economic questions relevant to evaluating the competitive consequences of acquisitions by partially privatized firms. It predicts gains or losses to various constituencies of producer groups. It then analyzes bond ratings and weighted-average costs of capital to determine whether such data are consistent with the hypothesis, advanced by parties opposed to such foreign investment, that partially privatized acquirers benefited from the government subsidization of their credit.

Verimlilikteki artış uzun dönemde ekonomik büyümenin temel kaynaklarından biridir. Ülkeler verimlilikte artış sağlamak için çeşitli politikalar uygulamaktadır. Bu makalenin amacı Türk ...telekomünikasyon sektöründe teknik etkinlikte iyileşme sağlayarak verimlilikte artış sağlanıp sağlanamayacağı sorusuna yanıt vermektedir. Bununla birlikte, çalışmanın kapsamı sabit telefon hizmetleri ve yerleşik işletmecinin teknik etkinliği ile sınırlıdır. Türkiye dâhil altı ülkenin sabit telefon hizmetleri sektöründeki teknik etkinlikleri Çok Aşamalı Veri Zarflama Analizi ile incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, Türk Telekom’un teknik etkinliğini artırarak verimliliğini artırmasının mümkün olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
