O cálculo mental é muito utilizado no dia a dia das pessoas, fazendo com que o mesmo se torne alvo de pesquisas. Sabemos que, ao longo da história, vários autores se dedicaram a estudá-lo, trazendo ...contribuições sejam metodológicas, históricas ou nas práticas do ensino. O presente texto é uma proposta de pesquisa de mestrado, que irá analisar livros didáticos de matemática, em que foram encontradas figuras com atividades que aparentam ser semelhantes a uma atividade aplicada em cursos de cálculo mental para professores. O objetivo é buscar aproximações e afastamentos entre tais atividades, com base nos conhecimentos básicos para o cálculo mental e realizar uma investigação sobre o fenômeno de vulgata nestas atividades. Nossa pesquisa tem base na História da Educação matemática (Pinto, 2007; Valente 2007, 2008b, 2015) e mobiliza referenciais teórico-metodológicos da História Cultural (Chartier, 1990).
In Agadir Bay, a study evaluated pollution biomarkers in the mollusk species Patella vulgata. Samples were collected seasonally from September 2021 to September 2022 at two distinct coastal sites ...within Agadir Bay: Cap Ghir and Anza Beach. Notable variations were observed in biomarkers like malondialdehyde, with a peak at 10.62 nmol/mg P in spring 2022 at Anza Beach. Catalase activity spiked in spring at 69.56 µmol/min/mg P for Cap Ghir and 72.73 µmol/min/mg P for Anza Beach. Acetylcholinesterase showed a decrease at 9.84 nmol/min/mg P in autumn at Anza Beach. Meanwhile, glutathione-S-transferase recorded an increase to 317.96 nmol/min/mg P at Cap Ghir in spring 2022. Using the Integrated Biomarker Response (IBR), these results were visualized, highlighting more stress in mollusks from Anza Beach compared to Cap Ghir. This research provides critical insights into the environmental effects on P. vulgata and potential conservation strategies.

Para demostrar su hipótesis incluyó en su ...pionera edición de 1965 numerosas notas a pie estableciendo correspondencias entre determinados pasajes o palabras de la Fazienda y de la Biblia hebrea. Sin embargo, Lazar a menudo obvió aquellas partes donde la obra sigue la Vulgata, ocultando así las correspondencias entre ambas obras. En el presente artículo se demostrará que las contribuciones de la Vulgata a la Fazienda son mucho mayores de lo que se ha aceptado, sugiriendo que los pasajes del Viejo Testamento de la Fazienda provienen de dos fuentes distintas: la Biblia hebrea y la Vulgata latina.

We present a genome assembly from an individual
Patella vulgata
(the common limpet; Mollusca; Gastropoda; Patellogastropoda; Patellidae). The genome sequence is 695.4 megabases in span. Most of the ...assembly is scaffolded into 9 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 14.93 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 19,378 protein coding genes.
This study investigated the characterization of proteins from the Irish limpet (Patella vulgata) and assessed the in vitro biological activities of hydrolysates obtained following gastrointestinal ...digestion (INFOGEST) of a limpet protein concentrate (LPC). The physicochemical properties and the digestibility of the LPC were investigated, along with the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibition and antioxidant activities of the LPC-digested samples. All the digested samples examined outperformed the LPC in terms of activity. Peptides were identified using LC–MS/MS after digestion. A total of 38 and 19 peptides were identified in LPC-G and LPC-GI, respectively, using a database search and a de novo approach. Most of the identified peptides had hydrophobic amino acids, which may contribute to their antioxidant and ACE inhibitory activities. The findings of this study showed that LPC has high nutritional quality with good digestibility and could serve as a potential source of antioxidative and ACE inhibitory peptides following gastrointestinal digestion.

Este artigo pretende explicar a intenção que presidiu à produção da “tradução oficial” da Bíblia pela Conferência Nacional dos Bispos do Brasil (CNBB), bem como o pano de fundo histórico desde as ...origens da Bíblia como conjunto literário. Na Introdução é mostrado que o Concilio Vaticano II exprimiu o desejo de uma nova tradução latina oficial e de traduções vernáculas nela baseadas. A primeira parte do artigo evoca brevemente o uso de traduções bíblicas desde a constituição da Bíblia no judaísmo e no cristianismo primitivo até a Vulgata de Jerônimo, nos albores do século V. A segunda parte mostra o caminho da Vulgata no cristianismo latino, com ênfase no seu reconhecimento no Concílio de Trento, até a publicação da Nova Vulgata depois do Concílio Vaticano II. Nesta parte mostram-se exemplos das modificações introduzidas em relação a antiga Vulgata em consideração do progresso da crítica textual e da exegese bíblica. A terceira parte explica a elaboração, sob os auspícios da CNBB, de uma versão brasileira baseada nos textos bíblicos em língua original, segundo os critérios da Nova Vulgata, principalmente para a liturgia, a catequese e os documentos oficiais.
Mapping species' geographical distribution is fundamental for understanding current patterns and forecasting future changes. Living on rocky shores along the intertidal zone, limpets are vulnerable ...to climate change, as their range limits are controlled by seawater temperature. Many works have been studying limpets’ potential responses to climate change at local and regional scales. Focusing on four Patella species living on the rocky shores of the Portuguese continental coast, this study aims to predict climate change impacts on their global distribution, while exploring the role of the Portuguese intertidal as potential climate refugia.
Ecological niche models combine occurrences and environmental data to identify the drivers of these species' distributions, define their current range, and project to future climate scenarios. The distribution of these limpets was mostly defined by low bathymetry (intertidal) and the seawater temperature. Independent of the climate scenario, all species will gain suitable conditions at the northern distribution edge while losing in the south, yet only the extent of occurrence of P. rustica is expected to contract. Apart from the southern coast, maintenance of suitable conditions for these limpets’ occurrence was predicted for the western coast of Portugal. The predicted northward range shift follows the observed pattern observed for many intertidal species. Given the ecosystem role of this species, attention should be given to their southern range limits. Under the current upwelling effect, the Portuguese western coast might constitute thermal refugia for limpets in the future.
•Ecological niche models were used to predict limpets' distributions while projecting to future climate scenarios.•Seawater temperature is the major driver of limpets' global distribution.•Poleward shifts with possible northward expansion were predicted for the future.•The Portuguese western coast is probably a thermal refugium for limpets in the future.

Poleward migrations of coastal marine species are occurring due to anthropogenic climate change. Temperature is a known driver of species distributions, however, the specific influence of temperature ...responsible for ecological disruption are diverse and often species-specific. If we are to predict future impacts of climate change it is imperative we have a comprehensive understanding of the influences of temperature at the scale of individual organisms, especially for ecosystem engineer species. In this study, manipulative mesocosm experiments were conducted to explore how temperature affects limpet feeding and activity rates, and duration of tenacity ability of the foot was used to assess the impact of water temperature on biological function. Mesocosm trials and biological function analysis indicated that P. vulgata may be more eurythermal, whilst P. depressa has a higher thermal tolerance while performing simple biological functions at higher temperatures. These investigations supplement the established body of research aimed at improving the predictive power of species distribution models (SDM) used to forecast the impact of climate change by pointing to potential importance of sub-lethal effects upon behaviour and performance.
