Digital transformation encompasses an organization's ability to adapt, respond, and position itself for success in the face of rapid technology evolution. A critical structure in achieving successful ...digital transformation is the digital project team, yet there is little research on how they are created and developed. Much of the focus has been on agile methodologies and processes but there is less research to inform organizations on digital team dynamics such as roles, empowerment, learning, and leadership development. This article describes our findings from a multilevel study of the IT function of 60 companies, including fieldwork at five company sites involving more than 130 semistructured interviews with senior level IT professionals. We identify four essential team-based levers that enable digital transformation: (1) diverse and targeted team composition, (2) iterative goal setting, (3) continuous learning, and (4) talent management. Using company examples and practices, we describe how digital leaders are using these levers to propel their organizations forward in the journey toward digital transformation.

Co-design, defined as collective creativity across the entire design process, can lead to the development of interventions that are more engaging, satisfying, and useful to potential users. However, ...using this methodology within the research arena requires a shift from traditional practice. Co-design of eHealth interventions with children and young people has additional challenges. This review summarizes the applied core principles of co-design and recommends techniques for undertaking co-design with children and young people. Three examples of co-design during the development of eHealth interventions (Starship Rescue, a computer game for treating anxiety in children with long-term physical conditions, a self-monitoring app for use during treatment of depression in young people, and HABITS, the development of an emotional health and substance use app, and eHealth platform for young people) are provided to illustrate the value and challenges of this contemporary process.
The agile approach to software development has significantly impacted the industry, given its ability to cope with requirements. Despite this, many aspects of the agile paradigm’s compatibility with ...various software project characteristics have not been thoroughly researched. To address this lacuna, the study presents a systematic literature review (SLR) that aims to assess the compatibility of the agile methodology with each of the knowledge areas included in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). By employing Machine Learning (ML) text-mining and sentiment analysis techniques, the paper explores the sentiment regarding each PMBOK knowledge area (PM-KA). It thus provides valuable insights to assist practitioners and researchers in assessing the compatibility of the agile methodology with each PM-KA and identifying potential gaps or significant challenges within the agile paradigm.

Project management in the software industry is the process of successfully planning, managing, and completing software development projects. Software projects can often be complex, constantly ...changing, and full of uncertainties, so project management is of particular importance in the software industry. There are two basic approaches to the execution of software projects. In the waterfall model, the project stages are operated in the determined order and after each stage is completed, the next stage is passed, while in the agile approach, the project is divided into small and priority parts, and the work processes are repeated at regular intervals and improvements are made depending on the feedback received. Recently, there has been a trend towards managing software projects with agile methodologies, as it provides flexibility and adaptability. However, there is no quantitative evaluation of the benefits of agile structuring both in the literature and in the sector, and this benefit is expressed with verbal expressions referring to the formation of a dynamic culture. For this reason, the productivity increase brought by the agile project approach cannot be measured and the benefit it provides cannot be scaled. In this study, a model that takes linguistic uncertainty into account is proposed to quantitatively scale the productivity increase provided by agile project structuring. The proposed model has been applied in a business where enterprise resource planning solutions have been developed and the effect of the transition from waterfall model to agile methodology on the productivity of the project has been investigated. Within the framework of the procedure proposed by the model, expert evaluations were taken in line with the determined quantitative and qualitative criteria, these criteria were listed with the fuzzy SWARA method, and the productivity increase provided by agile methodology was calculated using this information. The findings also allowed us to get an idea of the point of scaling the increase in productivity across the industry.

The study's overarching goal is to find effective ways to increase student engagement in the classroom. To test the efficacy of the suggested strategy, researchers examined data from five Latin American countries: Peru, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Cuba. Some elements considered include student concept support, school debates, student trust in the education system, and student participation. This research proposes an agile education framework for software development courses in music education using deep learning. Each system component is treated as if it were an IoT device because the framework is based on the Internet of Things concept. With an average score of 2.1, significantly higher than the control group under stagnant conditions, the data reveal that the Genetic Algorithm with Randomized Search Method significantly improves classroom arguments. On the other hand, student idea support scored an average of 0.1 on the effectiveness scale in the creative mode. Such findings highlight the potential of innovative educational strategies and offer guidance for educators and policymakers aiming to boost student involvement and creativity in the region.

The creation of Agile frameworks signified the development of practices specifically aimed at delivering projects - in an unpredictable world - on time, within budget and to the required quality. The ...purpose of this study is to present the potential effects of common Agile practices on conditions for project success. Two literature reviews are conducted. The first literature review identifies commonly reported Agile practices, while the second literature review focuses on these Agile practices’ reported effects. The two literature reviews identify twelve commonly reported Agile practices and their reported effects on six conditions for project success. Some Agile practices are shown to be more common than others. Achieving project success is a critical element of project management, and identifying the critical success factors (CSFs) that contribute to it is imperative. Agile project management has gained ...significant attention due to its flexibility, adaptability, and iterative approach, but achieving project success in agile projects remains a challenge. In order to identify the CSFs that have a significant impact on project outcomes, this study examines the role of CSFs in achieving project success in agile projects. A structured online questionnaire was used to collect data from 109 project managers and team members working on agile projects, which was then analyzed using various statistical methods. According to the study's findings, seven factors significantly influence the success of projects: scope and cost management, leadership, agile analytics techniques, customer involvement, teamwork, planning and scheduling, and effective communication, which account for 71.9% of the total variance explained by the CSFs components. The analysis of Pearson correlation coefficients between CSFs and agile project outcomes indicates a positive correlation between each CSF and the four project outcomes (timeliness, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction). The regression analysis includes two significant predictors: scope and cost management, and planning and scheduling, explaining 67.7% of the variation in project outcomes. The findings provide valuable insights for project managers in the Gaza Strip to enhance project success with agile methods by focusing on CSFs.
Nowadays, software development companies use agile methodologies to increase the speed and flexibility required by unpredictable working environments and streamline the software delivery process. ...Agile methodologies emphasize the software engineers’ interactions rather than rigid software development processes. Therefore, agile software development processes (e.g., implementing user stories) should consider software engineers’ affective states since these influence agile software project activities (e.g., team composition or decision-making). We conducted a systematic mapping review following the guidelines of Petersen, K. and Kitchenham, B. to answer our research question: “What affective states influence agile software engineers’ performance and developed software quality?”. We retrieved over 16,000 articles published between January 2010 and September 2021 and after applying selection criteria, 24 primary articles were identified. The results show that the affective states of software engineers influence the activities of the software project and the software development process. Furthermore, we found that there is a lack of well-defined and standard metrics to study the influence of software engineers’ affective states on their performance and the quality of the resulting software. Finally, we concluded that studying and understanding the affective states of software engineers in agile environments is crucial to achieve their well-being at work and improve their performance.

The agile approach, the idea of dividing a project into a set of increments and carrying them out iteratively, comes to solve traditional approach problems. This approach which brings together a set ...of methods such as Scrum, eXtreme Programming (XP), etc., on the one hand, is becoming too important in the software development industries. On the other hand, the emergence of the Internet of Things poses an obstacle to agile development because the IoT project contains two parts: software, and hardware (i.e., its specificity at the level of project implementation). All this leads the management teams to produce and propose solutions to deal with this type of project. Among these methods, they are scalable methods based on the agile approach, especially Scrum. However, the IoT company teams find them complex, and they offer their own methods later called Ignite | IoT methodology and IoT methodology. These methods are monolithic, and they are based on the traditional approach. Hence, the proposal of a method that meets all requirements of the project and the team remains a major need in the labor market. In this paper, we will propose a hybridization of agile methods and IoT method named Hybrid SIX (Scrum, Ignite, XP). Then we will validate the method Hybrid SIX in a case study "Smart Irrigation", an intelligent system which facilitates irrigation task, that is one of the important cases in Smart Agriculture.
