Cost control is a recurring problem in companies where studies have provided different solutions. The main objective of this research is to propose and validate an alternative to cost control using ...data science to support decision-making using the business intelligence 4.0 paradigm. The work uses Machine Learning (ML) to support decision-making in company cost-control management. Specifically we used the ability of hierarchical agglomerative clustering (HAC) algorithms to generate clusters and suggest possible candidate products that could be substituted for other, more cost-effective ones. These candidate products were analyzed by a panel of company experts, facilitating decisions based on business costs. We needed to analyze and modify the company's ecosystem and its associated variables to obtain an adequate data warehouse during the study which was developed over three years and validated HAC as a support to decision-making in cost control. Purpose
Big data clearly represent an important advance in information systems theory, but to describe it as “revolutionary” is premature. Similar technological breakthroughs, from online databases ...to ERP, were clearly modulated by advances in the organizational domain, including matters of structure, strategy and culture and arguably big data will be similar. The purpose of this paper is to encourage discussion of the wider implications of big data for the theory and practice of knowledge management.
Design/methodology/approach
This is a conceptual study based on critical analysis of the relevant literatures including those of organizational studies and management, big data and knowledge management.
Findings
The literature of big data emphasizes the application of algorithms to pattern analysis and prediction, resulting in data-driven decision-making, with data being the creator of value in organizations and societies. This would appear to render obsolete previous depictions of the “data-information-knowledge” relationship and, in effect, spell the end of knowledge management. However, big data literature largely ignores the organizational dimension and, significantly, the importance of frameworks, strategies and cultures for big data. As all of these are present in the literature of knowledge management, it would seem that big data have a long way to go to catch up and qualify even as a sub-discipline. Indeed, on the evidence, big data may well have a future as a contributor to and/or an element of knowledge management. Even for this to happen, however, major advances are required across the spectrum of big data technologies.
Research limitations/implications
This is a position paper written as the precursor for an empirical study.
Originality/value
The paper offers a critical literature-based and knowledge management perspective on big data while pointing out the common thread that runs through decades of advances in information systems technologies.
Despite the growing body of knowledge on requirements engineering and business analysis, these areas of software project are still considered problematic. The paper focuses on problems reported by ...business analysts and on applicability of available business analysis techniques as solutions to such problems. A unified set of techniques was developed on the basis of 3 industrial standards associated with IIBA, REQB and IREB certification schemes. A group of 8 business analysts was surveyed to list problems they encounter in their work and to assess their frequency. Selected problems were further analyzed and most suitable techniques were proposed to address them. These proposals were validated through follow-up discussions with business analysts. The main results of research reported in this paper are: the comparative analysis of techniques included in IIBA, REQB and IREB standards and the list of problems reported by practitioners associated with techniques suggested as effective solutions.

This study aims (1) to determine the income and feasibility of cultivation business using minapadi system (2) to know the level of cost risk, income and profit of farming minapadi, (3) to know the ...development strategy of cultivation using minapadi system in Sleman District of Yogyakarta. To analyse and interpret the data, it used descriptive analysis method. The location of the research was determined purposively it was in Seyegan Sub District. The number of respondents in this research was 43 farmers which consist of 23 minapadi farmers and 20 non minapadi farmers. The analysis used in this research was income, feasibility, risk and SWOT analysis. The result of the analysis showed that the income and profit of minapadi farmers are more than the non-minapadi farmers. The feasibility analysis of farming system in conducting the cultivation using minapadi system and non minapadi system respectively at 1.43 and 1.27, so that these two businesses are worthy to run since the value of R/C ratio was more than 1. The risk analysis shows that in the farm integrating minapadi has lower risk of costs, revenues, and profits. The appropriate strategy for the development of minapadi farming is the S-T strategy which is by utilizing the strengths to minimize the threats.

Abstract
Banyumas Regency is one of the most potential organic brown sugar producers in Central Java. Organic brown sugar has a higher selling value than coconut sugar. The comparison of the price of ...coconut sugar and brown sugar which has a difference of Rp. 6,500.00 / kg with an average farmer production of 8 kg / day. The high price of brown sugar is very beneficial for coconut sugar farmers. This study aims to determine the income of the sugar craftsmen and determine the RC ratio. The research was conducted in two districts, namely Cilongok and Pekuncen districts, with 2 farmer groups, namely the Manggar Jaya farmer group and the Cikal Mas farmer group. The basic method used in this research is descriptive analysis. Data analysis using cost income analysis and RC ratio. The results showed that the craftsmen revenue Rp106,087.00 per day and the value of the RC ratio was 1.40 indicating that the business was feasible to run.
In recent years, the energy consumption structure has been accelerating towards clean and low-carbon globally, and China has also set positive goals for new energy development, vigorously promoting ...the development and utilization of renewable energy, accelerating the implementation of renewable energy substitution actions, and focusing on improving the consumption capacity of new energy. However, due to the intermittent and unstable characteristics of renewable energy, it is difficult to meet the demands of the power load side in practical applications. Energy storage is an important link for the grid to efficiently accept new energy, which can significantly improve the consumption of new energy electricity such as wind and photovoltaics by the power grid, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the grid system, but energy storage is a high-cost resource. Therefore, this paper focuses on the energy storage scenarios for a big data industrial park and studies the energy storage capacity allocation plan and business model of big data industrial park. Firstly, based on the characteristics of the big data industrial park, three energy storage application scenarios were designed, which are grid center, user center, and market center. On this basis, an optimal energy storage configuration model that maximizes total profits was established, and financial evaluation methods were used to analyze the corresponding business models. Finally, taking an actual big data industrial park as an example, the economic viability of energy storage configuration schemes under two scenarios was discussed, and an energy storage system construction plan was proposed to promote the zero-carbon target of the big data industrial park.
