Environmental, energy, business and development dynamics have received strong research interest. However, previous studies have mainly explored these topics separately. Conversely, we study these ...aspects jointly, constructing a composite indicator and assessing resulting impact on several SDGs domains. The aim of the analysis is to discover the importance of latent aspects in explaning the environmental, energy and business efficiency for specific countries. Estimating this multidimensional efficiency is relevant for the identification of the conditions for the achievement of CO2 containment and sustainable development progress. We make use of the World Bank's World Development Indicators (WB WDI) for selected emerging countries from the Asia-Pacific region ranging from lower-middle-income to upper-middle-income economies, following the WB Group country classifications by income level. We build a composite indicator for eliciting diverse dimensions related to the environment, energy policy and economic factors. The first steps of the indicators analysis are achieved by the combination of the DEA and Tobit analyses. Therefore, we examine the environmental, energy and business efficiency according to the economic development stage of the analysed countries, making use of an entropy index. The index’ robustness is tested at both stages – first, exploring the Tobit analysis, therefore, by inspecting an additional Asia-Pacific country having a different income with respect to the benchmark. The results suggest the creation of country clusters. Above all, China outstands in terms of environmental efficiency and R&D, as a result of a broader energy development strategic plan in the last few decades.

The task of improving business performance always raises the problem of choosing the most effective ways to ensure it. The article is devoted to the substantiation of the business efficiency ...criterion, in accordance with the requirements of which those areas of business development that provide it with the greatest efficiency should be determined. The article puts forward and confirms the hypothesis that, according to the selected criterion the greatest efficiency can be provided not only by the variant of the simultaneous implementation of all possible directions for increasing efficiency, but also by the variant of their implementation in parts — in the form of sets of directions. The authors propose a model for the formation of an effective business, using Pareto optimality and implemented on the basis of two developed Algorithms, which is illustrated by a numerical example.
Technological advancements and environmental turbulences require firms to continuously reconfigure their operational models by rapidly transforming the workplace. This study explores how the Internet ...of Things (IoT) can improve employees’ productivity in operations. This conceptualization paper highlights five determinants of employee productivity: learning orientation, problem-solving, acquisition of knowledge, and monitoring and evaluation. The developed conceptual model has a three-phased approach to optimizing the impact of the internet of things with Bayesian classification. This is critical to effectively leverage improvement in employee productivity, profile deviation analysis and to predict the effectiveness of interventions. This study provides vital insights into leveraging the IoT during the fourth industrial revolution, offering the needed continuous development of employee productivity to help with the survival and stability of firms. This will assist the management of a firm by providing practical insights and an actionable approach towards fostering increased employee productivity during challenging times.

Design / methodology / approach: This ...study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques.
Findings: The research was carried out at the Gresik port terminal.
Research limitations / implications: Limitations in this study using three independent variables and one variable. The independent variables are energy resources, greenport and technology. The variable in question is business efficiency.
Practical Implications: The population in this study were all operators and employees in the operational division with a total sample of 57 respondents.

This study aims to examine the factors affecting the business efficiency of companies in the seafood industry listed on the Vietnamese stock market. The article analyzes the data collected from the ...financial statements of 20 listed seafood companies operating in Vietnam from 2016 to 2020. The study uses EViews software in quantitative analysis to build a panel data regression model to determine the relationship and level of impact of internal factors on the business performance of seafood companies. Business efficiency is measured by return on assets (ROA), return on equity. The research results show that the factors affecting the business efficiency of listed seafood companies include: capital structure, firm size, growth rate of assets, solvency.

Effective resolution of conflicts within any organization, including healthcare organizations, should be a priority due to their direct impact on the quality of healthcare provided. The paper aims to examine the influence of interpersonal health workers on the effectiveness of the health institutions where they are employed. The paper examines whether employees in a healthcare facility are exposed to conflict situations, as well as whether there is a connection between conflicts such as negative interpersonal relationships and business efficiency, i.e., the provision of healthcare services. Furthermore, the paper examines the differences between the conflict and the sociodemographic characteristics of the respondents. The research was conducted in the Healthcare center in Zvečan (Kosovska Mitrovica) through a survey. The research sample (N=103) consisted of employees in the aforementioned health institution.
