The study aimed at investigating the impact of e-business on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) operational performance in terms of business flexibility, business quality, and business costs. ...Research data was harvested via an online questionnaire developed based on previous related works and administered to a sample consisting of 500 owners and managers of industrial and commercial SMEs in Saudi Arabia. Using SmartPLS software, the results pointed out that e-business exerts a significant positive impact on the overall SMEs operational performance. Particularly, the results revealed that e-business results in positive effects on business flexibility, business quality, and business costs. It was observed that the greater impact of e-business was on business flexibility while the impact of e-business on business quality and business costs is roughly similar. These findings suggest that the current SMEs are highly concerned with customer-oriented issues such as marketing channels, customer needs and communications, and on-time delivery. Based on these results, it was concluded that SMEs can use e-business solutions to boost their business operational capabilities with reference to flexibility, quality, and cost.

La gestión de calidad empresarial se encuentra ante nuevos desafíos y herramientas a fin de desarrollar los procesos necesarios para mantenerse competitivas en el mercado del siglo XXI. El objetivo ...de este trabajo es reflexionar sobre la gestión de calidad empresarial en la industria 4.0 mediante una revisión teórica documental y/o bibliográfica de carácter deductivo. Los resultados indican que la calidad 4.0 representa la aplicación de diversas estrategias que permiten la toma de decisiones efectivas. Las organizaciones deben contar con modelos automatizados de prevención y diagnóstico de errores. Entre los beneficios de las nuevas tecnologías podrán minimizar los desperdicios de los recursos, optimizar el mantenimiento y la seguridad de sus infraestructuras, gestionar el análisis de datos en tiempo real para la atención adecuada de las necesidades del cliente. Se concluye que una gestión 4.0 de calidad será posible en industrias 4.0 que cuenten con personal altamente calificado y tecnología de punta.
The higher education sector in Lebanon has undergone significant changes in the past twenty years, with a rapid increase in the number of higher education institutions that differ greatly in their ...missions, methodologies, and regulations. One of the remarkable differences between higher education institutions (HEI) in Lebanon is their vision and adaptation of technology into their institutions, with the lack of any government rules that guide HEIs to proper technology implementation strategies. While some institutions use international standards and models for quality assurance and management as a base for technology integration, others implement their own strategies of choosing and applying the technologies they deem appropriate. In this paper, we study the effect of technology adaptation strategies on HEIs in Lebanon, and propose a model for technology integration in higher education, based on the current needs and status of the Lebanese higher education system. We build our model on the goals of achieving and assuring high quality in the pedagogy, business, and technology sectors in the HEI.
It is important that SMEs are able to prioritize business quality by identifying business requirements based on customer requirements. This strategy is able to help SMEs generate innovation in the ...form of improved business quality activities to meet customer requirements. This approach uses the "quality function deployment (QFD)" method to identify the priority business requirements and improvement actions to generate business quality. As a result, we managed to identify five priority variable business requirements (BReqs) based on seven variable customer requirements (CReqs) with the lowest satisfaction score. We proposed some improvement actions in perspective quality based on five priority business requirements. Moreover, the final quality matrix of business quality improvement priority generally makes it easier for users to read and find out which variables need to be improved. This research also presents a solution so that users can perform business actions effectively and efficiently in allocating their resources.

The paper discusses the uncertainty resulting from vagueness. Within this topic we present an original version of the fuzzy approach to a foreign investment risk estimation based on values of rating ...indices. The transition from the basic point values of rating indices into the linguistic values within intervals of linguistic variables of fuzzy logic enables us to take into account the diverse kinds of uncertainty. The theoretical and methodological part submits fundamentals of the general fuzzy model of the vaguely defined problem, which is applied to the problem of the foreign investment “risk” estimation of selected countries of Europe and Asia. The inclusion of a country into one of the categories (“high risk countries”, “conditional risk countries” and “non-risk countries”) is based on a vector of value indexes of the sub-components of business environment quality (corrupt environment, economic stability and political stability).
Traditional food products have become an icon of a region. The uniqueness of the food product being offered to the visitors will give some uniqueness values and will consequently influence the ...business development of a region. This survey study was conducted among 247 entrepreneurs producing the traditional food products by distributing questionnaires employing proportional random sampling. The data was analyzed using SEM analysis via WarpPLS program. Based on the result of the study, it was found out that the entrepreneurship creativity in manufacturing new products significantly influenced the excellence of Riau traditional food products either directly or indirectly. In addition, this was also determined by the quality of the business operation. Besides, the local entrepreneurs' ability in seeing opportunities significantly influenced the excellence of the food products either directly or indirectly.
In the field of Internet and communication, the existing service fault location technology is based on out-of-band measurement, cannot really reproduce the problem points. This paper presents a ...network business quality intelligent assessment and fault location method based on IFIT. According to the performance data and device data reported by the IFIT, the end-to-end quality intelligent evaluation model based on AI technology is used to evaluate the end-to-end service quality and detect the service status. If the end-to-end service quality status is poor or interrupted, adjust the detection mode to hop-by-hop mode, determine the link and port where the specific quality is poor or interrupted, and then determine the area where the fault occurs. The evaluation results show that, and values of the methods in this paper are all over 85%, higher than the traditional methods, and the comprehensive comparison results show the method of this paper are 10% higher than traditional method, which prove the validity and reliability of the method presented in this paper.
