Súčasťou prestížneho podujatia bol aj slávnostný večer, na ktorom sme sa dozvedeli mená víťazov súťaže Cena za transfer technológií na Slovensku 2023. COINTT 2023 ponúkol hosťom z radov ...vedeckovýskumných pracovníkov, akademikov, podnikateľov či zástupcov neziskových organizácií a podnikateľských asociácií naozaj bohatý program. Ide o technológiu, ktorá môže prispieť k úspešnosti asistovanej reprodukcie metódou in vitro fertilizácie. Svoje skúsenosti v tejto téme odprezentoval Sean Fielding, bývalý riaditeľ pre inovácie a obchod na University of Exeter vo Veľkej Británii. O prepojení univerzít a firiem na dennej báze nám na podujatí porozprávala Barbara Tan z University of Antwerp, ktorá má viac než 20-ročnú prax v rôznych oblastiach vyššieho vzdelávania so zameraním na výskum, inovácie a vedeckú a technologickú politiku. Na University of Antwerp pôsobí ako poradkyňa pre politiky transferu poznatkov v rámci YU EE (Young Universities for the Future of Europe). Veľkým prínosom bol aj tretí hlavný spiker, Jeff Skinner z London Business School, bývalý výkonný riaditeľ Školského inštitútu pre podnikanie a súkromný kapitál na London Business School vo Veľkej Británii. CENA ZA TRANSFER TECHNOLÓGIÍ PRE NAJLEPŠÍCH Počas podujatia COINTT 2023 boli ocenení víťazi súťaže Cena za transfer technológií na Slovensku - CTTS 2023, ktorá má za cieľmotivovaťvedeckovýskumných pracovníkov, aby sa zapojili do procesu ochrany du- ševného vlastníctva a jeho komercializácie v zmysle interných pravidiel slovenských vedeckovýskumných inštitúcií. Slovenská aliancia pre inovativnu ekonomiku, Združenie podnikateľov Slovenska a Národné centrum transferu technológií SR združujúce 7 verejnoprávnych univerzít, SAV a CVTI SR za účelom podpory transferu technológií na Slovensku a jeho systematizácie.

Grounded in sociological agency theory, the authors study the role of the faculty research incentive system in the academic research conducted at business schools and business school health. The ...authors surveyed 234 marketing professors and completed 22 interviews with 14 (associate) deans and 8 external institution stakeholders. They find that research quantity contributes to the research health of the school, but not to other aspects of business school health. The r-quality of research (i.e., rigor) contributes more strongly to the research health of the school than research quantity. The q-quality (i.e., practical importance) of research does not contribute to the research health of the school but does contribute positively to teaching health and several other dimensions of business school health. The authors conclude that faculty research incentives are misaligned: (1) when monitoring research faculty, the number of publications receives too much weight, while creativity, literacy, relevance, and awards receive too little weight; and (2) faculty feel that they are insufficiently compensated for their research, while (associate) deans feel they are compensated too much for their research. These incentive misalignments are largest in schools that perform the worst on research (r- and q-) quality. The authors explore how business schools and faculty can remedy these misalignments.

This year, the 7th edition of the Dutch Accounting Research Conference (DARC) was hosted by the Nijmegen School of Management at Radboud University on Thursday, March 23. In total, over 75 accounting ...researchers from various Dutch universities were welcomed by Frank Hartmann, chair of the accounting group and head of the Business Economics department. During the day, four keynote speakers presented their research and in a panel discussion, the current state of accounting education was debated. In the evening, participants gathered to network over dinner. This article presents a discussion of the theme of the conference, an outline of the research papers and projects presented during the conference, and a summary of the panel discussion on Accounting Education.
It is no surprise that research on digital transformation (DT) has raised vast interest among academics in recent decades. Countries, cities, industries, companies, and people all face the same ...challenge of adapting to a digital world. The aim of the paper is twofold. First, map the thematic evolution of the DT research in the areas of business and management, because existing research in these areas to date has been limited to certain domains. To achieve this, articles were identified and reviewed that were published in the Chartered Association of Business Schools’ (ABS) ≥ 2-star journals. Based on these findings, the second objective of this paper will be to propose a synergistic framework that relates existing research on DT to the areas of business and management, which will help form the evolutionary perspective taken in this paper. Considering the emerging development of the topic under investigation, the framework is understood as a sound basis for continued discussion and forthcoming research.
