To protect the medical images integrity, digital watermark is embedded into the medical images. A non-blind medical image watermarking scheme based on hybrid transform is propounded. In this paper, ...fingerprint of the patient is used as watermark for better authentication, identifying the original medical image and privacy of the patients. In this scheme, lifting wavelet transform (LWT) and discrete wavelet transform (DWT) are utilized for amplifying the watermarking algorithm. The scaling and embedding factors are calculated adaptively with the help of Local Binary Pattern values of the host medical image to achieve better imperceptibility and robustness for medical images and fingerprint watermark, respectively. Two-level decomposition is done where for the first level LWT is utilized and for the second level decomposition DWT is utilized. At the extraction side, non-blind recovery of fingerprint watermark is performed which is similar to the embedding process. The propounded design is implemented on various medical images like Chest X-ray, CT scan and so on. The propounded design provides better imperceptibility and robustness with the combination of LWT–DWT. The result analysis proves that the proposed fingerprint watermarking scheme has attained best results in terms of robustness and authentication with different medical image attacks. Peak Signal to Noise Ratio and Normalized Correlation Coefficient metrics are used for evaluating the proposed scheme. Furthermore, superior results are obtained when compared to related medical image watermarking schemes.

Purpose This study aims to conceptualize, rethink and systematize methods used for measurement and evaluation (M&E) corporate communication. Design/methodology/approach The reflection is based on 462 ...key English-language books and papers devoted to M&E in the fields of corporate communication and public relations from the 1970th to 2023. Keywords in the titles and abstracts found the necessary materials. A critical analysis of the central concepts, models and methods described in the literature was conducted. As a result, a new model that unifies and structures the M&E toolkit is proposed for discussion. Findings Despite the significant contribution to developing a wide range of M&E models, they are still not perfect and universal. In addition, this system of approaches is continuously self-evolving and changing under the influence of digital innovations, so it requires steady rethinking and updating. On the other hand, most previous studies focused on communication management processes, losing focus on communication aspects. This led to the need for an alternative view based on proven theories to fill this gap. The proposed model combines quantitative and qualitative M&E methods for the five main components of corporate communication (communicator, audience, content, channels and result), covering a wide range of tools, from statistical and sociological research to big data analysis and neuro research. Originality/value This work contributes to developing the M&E theory of corporate communication, systematizing existing methods and opening new research perspectives. From a practical point of view, companies can use the presented approach for a more accurate and objective internal evaluation of the main components of corporate communication.
Central banks regularly communicate about financial stability issues. This article asks how such communications affect financial markets, based on a unique dataset covering more than 1,000 releases ...of Financial Stability Reports (FSRs) and speeches by 37 central banks over the past 14 years. The findings suggest that optimistic FSRs lead to significant and potentially long-lasting positive abnormal stock market returns, whereas no such effect is found for pessimistic FSRs. Speeches and interviews, in contrast, have smaller effects on market returns during tranquil times but have been influential during the 2007—10 global financial crisis.

We evaluate the effect of quantum electrodynamics on the correlations between Dirac field modes corresponding electron-positron pairs of opposite momenta generated by expansion of an asymptotically ...flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) universe. The mutual information of out-going electron-positron pairs is evaluated to leading order in the coupling strength and compared with the free case. It is shown a decrease in the mutual information between the electron and positron. In addition, it is found that the change in the electron-positron mutual information depends on how the momentum is distributed between the positron and photon modes.

Purpose
Using online channels is an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the manufacturing industry to reach new markets and reduce the dependency on distributors. The ...challenge remains that of integrating new online channels into existing networks effectively. This paper aims to identify to what extent multichannel integration is enhanced by the innovation capability of manufacturing SMEs and the subsequent influence on their performance.
Design/methodology/approach
Data were collected by means of a survey aimed at managers of small manufacturing firms in Mexico and were analysed through an advanced partial least squares (PLS) approach via SmartPLS.
Findings
Manufacturing SMEs with more advanced innovation capability achieve higher levels of multichannel integration. In turn, when multichannel integration is more advanced, manufacturing SMEs enjoy better results with respect to sales, fulfilling marketing objectives and improving relationships with customers.
Research limitations/implications
The model could be extended to accommodate other variables that may affect the effective integration of multiple channels.
Practical implications
Manufacturing SMEs can improve their results by integrating online channels with existing offline channels with a commitment to innovating in the market.
Originality/value
Analysing multichannel integration from the perspective of manufacturing firms, examining not only the positive consequences but also the underlying capabilities needed.
COVID-19 has caused a devastating impact on public health and made the development of the COVID-19 vaccination a top priority. Herd immunity through vaccination requires a sufficient number of the ...population to be vaccinated. Research on factors that promote intention to receive the COVID-19 vaccination is warranted. Based on Diffusion of Innovations Theory, this study examines the association between the perceived efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccination, use of social media for COVID-19 vaccine-related information, openness to experience and descriptive norm with the intention to receive the COVID-19 vaccination, and the moderating role of openness to experience among 6922 university students in mainland China. The intention to receive the free and self-paid COVID-19 vaccination is 78.9% and 60.2%, respectively. Results from path analyses show that perceived efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccination, use of social media for COVID-19 vaccine-related information, and openness to experience and descriptive norm are all positively associated with the intention to receive COVID-19 free and self-paid vaccination. The association between the perceived efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccination and descriptive norm with the intention to receive the COVID-19 vaccination is stronger among those with a lower level of openness to experience. Our findings support the usefulness of Diffusion of Innovations Theory and the moderating role of openness of experience in explaining intention to receive the COVID-19 vaccination.

The purpose is to explore the application effects and limitations of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) in 5G/B5G (Beyond 5G) mobile and wireless communication. Based on 5Gcommunication, the deep learning ...(DL) algorithm is introduced to construct the UAV Digital Twins (DTs) communication channel model based on DL. The Coordinated Multi-point Transmission (COMP) technology is adopted to study the interference suppression of UAVs. The key algorithm in the physical layer security is employed to ensure information communication security. Finally, the model constructed is simulated and analyzed. The transmission error rates and transmission estimation accuracy of several algorithms, including the proposed algorithm and ordinary Deep Neural Networks (DNNs), are compared under different Signal-to-Noise Ratios (SNRs). Results find that the convergence speed and convergence effect of the proposed algorithm has prominent advantages, presenting strong robustness; the proposed algorithm's estimation accuracy is about 150 times higher than the traditional algorithms. Further analysis reveals that the proposed algorithm's accuracy reaches 82.39%, which increases by at least 3.2% than other classic machine algorithms. The indicators of Precision, Recall, and F1 are compared as well. Apparently, the Precision, Recall, and F1 values of the proposed algorithm are the highest, while the transmission delay is the smallest. Therefore, the constructed UAV DTs wireless communication channel model has strong robustness and further reduces UAV limitations, providing a reference for improving UAV system performance in the later stage.

Ultrahigh data rate, massive connectivity, ultralow latency, and high reliability, as well as ultraflexible air interface design to support diversified usage scenarios, are the major targets of 5G ...radio access network design. To meet these targets, advanced new radio transmission technologies, including new waveform, new channel coding, non-orthogonal multiple access, as well as massive antenna techniques, have been proposed and studied worldwide in both academic and industries. Most of the gains claimed in the literature are from simulations or by small scale lab testing. Instead, this paper elaborates on the first hand results and analysis of the large-scale field trials carried out in China for a selection of key 5G technology components as well as some of their combinations, including filtered-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) (f-OFDM), polar code, sparse code multiple access, and massive multi-input multi-output (MIMO) for both uplink and downlink cellular networks. Testing results verify the feasibility and benefit of each technology contributing toward the diversified 5G targets, as well as the feasibility for these technologies to work jointly for higher spectrum efficiency, larger connectivity, and lower latency.
