With the rapid development of flexible electronics, low-cost, flexible, high-energy-density power sources are urgently needed. Theoretically, the emerging rechargeable potassium-ion batteries (KIBs) ...could be a promising candidate due to the abundance and low cost of potassium resources. However, owing to the absence of high-performance cathode materials and effective methods to fabricate robust and soft electrodes, producing flexible KIBs remains a daunting challenge. Herein, cyanotype is successfully employed as a photographic printing technique for the fabrication of a low-cost, scalable, and flexible cathode. The combined advantages of optimized crystallinity and morphology of the cathode materials as well as the ultralight and robust nature of the flexible electrode endow the KIB with superior performance including high energy density (up to 232 Wh kg−1) and excellent flexibility. This low-cost and scalable photographic printing technique as well as the promising electrochemical results will promote the development of flexible electronics.

Flexible electronic devices are leading the trend of next-generation electronic products. Theoretically, the emerging rechargeable potassium-ion batteries (KIBs) could be a promising power source to function them due to the abundance and low cost of potassium resources. However, owing to the absence of high-performance cathode materials and effective methods to fabricate robust and soft electrodes, producing flexible KIBs remains a daunting challenge. Here, we employ a novel photographic printing strategy to fabricate flexible Prussian blue (PB) electrodes by the photoinduced synthesis of highly crystalline PB nanocubes grown onto Xuan paper. Based on the flexible PB electrode, highly flexible KIBs with excellent mechanical strength and superior electrochemical performance are successfully achieved. Our study develops a novel photographic printing flexible electrode and would promote the development of flexible energy storage systems.
Inspired by traditional cyanotype, we first design a novel strategy for the fabrication of low-cost, lightweight, and soft patterned electrodes. When employed in flexible potassium-ion battery, the patterned electrodes show superior electrochemical performance, including good cycling stability and high energy density. This appealing photographic printing technique as well as the promising electrochemical results opens a new avenue for the fabrication of flexible energy storage systems.

Abstract Cyanotypes are known to de-colourize with alkalis; however, not much research has been done to regain the lost information. This research examines two possibilities to bring back the ...information: one is to utilize elemental mapping by X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy analysis to regain the image non-invasively, and the second, to treat the cyanotype with acidic solutions. Both methods brought back the image to the extent that the information could be obtained. As photo reproductions, one of their greatest values is the information they convey. This research could be significant in that it opens possibilities to regain the lost information.
Over the past few decades, the photographic process has slowly vanished from chemistry education in most schools. It happened due to vast changes in both technology and legislation. It is, however, ...helpful in demonstrating several concepts in natural sciences, bringing a bit of art into the subjects, and giving students an opportunity to express themselves while learning. The attractiveness of experiments may play a role in developing a positive attitude toward the subjects. Therefore, a photography-aimed laboratory experiment for elementary and high school education has been proposed. The cyanotype process was chosen due to its obvious advantagesit does not require extensive preparation or equipment and is easily administered even with elementary school pupils. A series of cyanotype workshops has been introduced in Slovak elementary and high schools with generally positive student response.

How might positioning artistic practice as reflective limit the production of knowledge in art education by positioning theory ahead of practice, language over material, who above what? And, what ...might be done instead? Blueprinting theories with preservice art teachers illuminates such
questions and explores 'what is possible to see and say' differently in art teacher preparation. Emboldened by contemporary materialisms, this visual essay exposes the poetic tangle where preservice teachers may have already pencilled in and sketched out some tentative ways of
knowing/being/doing art education. The vibrant intra-activity of cyanotype photography attempts to eclipse this insistent hold on artmaking as reflective practice - just long enough that something different might be seen, said, felt, imagined in art teacher preparation.

This article presents the results of the implementation of artificial vision and image processing projects applied to a parts manufacturing process. In a first scenario, three-dimensional ...computational geometric models of the parts to be manufactured were obtained from the capture and processing of thermo-graphic images. In a later stage of the manufacturing process, a direct measurement system for cutting tool wear was implemented using HD images with image processing software using NI Lab VIEW from National Instruments®. In the final stage of parts manufacturing, the development of software (UDmetaL Handbook) for the quantitative metallographic analysis of micrographs for hypoeutectoid steels is presented. The software determines the type of steel based on the percentage of carbon and finds the mechanical properties of the material in a database that is incorporated into the software. The software's basis of operation is computational analysis through digital processing of metallographic images obtained through experimental laboratory processes using NI Lab VIEW software from National Instruments®.

The thing about the creative process is showing up. You have to show up for yourself, whether it's to a physical space, or to a space in yourself, because the creative energy is always there.
