As an important branch of polymer field, hyperbranched polymers have developed rapidly recently, which have been applied in various fields because of its outstanding biodegradability and ...biocompatibility, especially in biology and coatings. According to reaction mechanism, the fabrication methods of hyperbranched polymers include polycondensation, ring-opening polymerization, living polymerization and other new methods. These methods are all environmental-friendly and high-efficient to generate hyperbranched polymers, and are valuable for industrialization, but there are still some defects such as the structure of the polymer is not regular enough, the composition of the polymer is too single, or the partial synthesis method is complicated. In this work, on the basis of previous studies, the preparation methods of hyperbranched polymers and their applications in various fields were reviewed, and the development trend of hyperbranched polymers was analyzed.

In this paper, firstly, we take a look at the state of theory and applications of the grey systems theory founded by Professor Deng Jit-long in the 1980's. Then, the scientific background on which ...the grey systems theory came into being, basic concepts, the main content of the theory are presented. A comparison between the grey systems theory and stochastic analysis and fuzzy mathematics is made. As a new research with strong capabilities to transect across and to permeate into various traditional scientific fields and disciplines, the astonishing progress the grey systems theory has made in the world of learning and its wide range employment in such scientific areas as industry, agriculture, economics, energy, transportation, geography, geology, meteorology, hydraulic power, ecology, environment studies, medicine, education, military science, finance, life sciences et al. is presented. Lastly, the further study advices for grey systems theory is put forward.
