Scientific research in the area close to the Russian Antarctic station Vostok has been carried out since its founding on December 16, 1957. The relevance of work to study the region is steadily ...increasing, which is confirmed by the Strategy for the Development of Activities of the Russian Federation in the Antarctica until 2030. As part of the Strategy implementation, Saint Petersburg Mining University solves the comprehensive study issues of the Vostok station area, including the subglacial Lake Vostok, related to the development of modern technologies and technical means for drilling glaciers and underlying rocks, opening subglacial reservoirs, sampling water and bottom sediments, as well as carrying out comprehensive geological and geophysical research. For the successful implementation of the Strategy, at each stage of the work it is necessary to identify and develop interdisciplinary connections while complying with the requirements for minimizing the impact on the environment. During the season of the 68th Russian Antarctic Expedition, the staff of the Mining University, along with the current research works, began research of the dynamic interactions between the forces of the Earth, from the deepest depths to the surface glacier. Drilling and research programs have been completed. The drilling program was implemented jointly with colleagues from the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute at the drilling complex of the 5G well. The research program included: shallow seismic studies, core drilling of snow-firn strata, study of the snow-firn strata petrostructural features, studies of cuttings collection filters effectiveness when drilling snow-firn strata and the process of ice destruction in a reciprocating rotational method, bench testing of an acoustic scanner. As a result of drilling in 5G well at the depth range of 3453.37-3534.43 m, an ice core more than 1 million years old was obtained.
The article is about a pressing issue of Ukrainian higher education establishments in the context of integrated education. The necessity of implementation of integrated training in the domestic ...higher educational institutions is substantiated. The focus on the importance and relevance of this problem is made. Attention is drawn to the fact that the idea of integrating knowledge was of interest to scientists from ancient times. It is demonstrated that this problem was of interest to Jan Amos Comenius, John Locke and Pestalozzi. A brief analysis of recent research and publications on the issue has been made. It is emphasized that the idea of integration of knowledge is extremely popular in the world. Its development, as shown by the practice of foreign countries, such as Finland and Germany, gave the opportunity to form students’ qualitatively new knowledge characterized by a higher level of thinking, the dynamic application in new situations, increase in efficiency and systematicity. Therefore, the experience of these countries can be useful for Ukraine. The article gives an overview of the experience of Finland and Germany in introducing integrated education into the education system in order to develop proposals for borrowing and use of such experience in Ukraine. The definition of “integration” is given. It is the process of djusting and combining disparate elements into a single unit. Methodological principles, ways and phases of interdisciplinary integration are discussed. It is emphasized that interdisciplinary connections are usually divided into horizontal and vertical ones. Horizontal interpersonal communication occurs when the objects that can be integrated are studied not simultaneously (for example, during a week, month, semester, year, etc.). Vertical communication can be observed if integrated subjects are studied during one time interval (for example, during one lesson or one day), i.e. if the teacher studies one topic in all the lessons, drawing on other subjects on the basis of students’ skills and abilities. Attention is drawn to the importance of constructing interdisciplinary connections between computer science and foreign language with other disciplines. The advantages of implementation and priorities of integrated training at higher educational institutions are highlighted.

The article is dedicated to the analysis of English language teaching, taking into account the experience of implementing interdisciplinary connections in English classes at agricultural ...universities. The relevance of the article stems from the necessity to explore the subject relations between humanitarian disciplines and the courses “Foreign Language” and “Business Foreign Language”. The article addresses the current issue of the possibilities for implementing the “Law on the Use of the English Language in Ukraine”.
In the scientific literature, there is a multitude of opinions regarding the definition of the term “interdisciplinary connections”, leading to a significant number of works dedicated to various aspects of interdisciplinary connections. When characterizing the main features of interdisciplinary connections, the authors demonstrate the potential for reevaluating the process of teaching English in non-language higher educational institutions and highlight some advantages of implementing interdisciplinary connections, as observed in the process of teaching a foreign language to bachelorʼs and masterʼs students at Odessa State Agrarian University. These advantages include increased motivation among the students and enhanced communicative interaction among participants in the educational process.
The incorporation of an interdisciplinary approach in the context of using the English language in contemporary settings can find application in the development of work programs, the creation of English language manuals and online textbooks, as well as in the formulation of methodological recommendations. In the context of modern educational policy, the teaching of foreign languages in non-language higher education institutions can be approached from the perspective of both formal and informal education. This approach is characterized by the interdisciplinary integration of the courses “Foreign Language” and “Business Foreign Language” with humanities courses such as “Philosophy and Social Ethics”, “History of Ukrainian Statehood”, and “Ukraine – European Union”.
The article discusses the discourse on the methodological foundations of political science research and the need to outline the existing paradigms of political science research, both in the ...temporal-retrospective dimension and in the dimension of the subject area. It is emphasized that the determinants of defining the value of paradigm in modern political science research is the prospect of acquiring scientific novelty at the stage of determining the research topic. The focus is on the need for a more thorough consideration of specific paradigmatic means of determining the methodological design of contemporary political science research. It is noted that on the basis of linguistic analysis of subject aspects of political science, one can easily see the multivariate interpretation of many essential concepts of the modern political sphere. It is argued that one can also see expansive interpretations of particular concepts and processes from a non-professional perspective. The importance of interdisciplinary natural science paradigms has been established. Attention is paid to identifying the possibility of forming a new conceptual apparatus, taking into account the concepts that have become widespread in the scientific environment. The role of the concept of "paradigm approach in modern political science" is revealed, which is aimed at understanding the peculiarities of considering political science subject within other scientific disciplines. It is proved that the leading task of paradigm as a discipline of political science is the formation of paradigmatic choice of young researcher. The peculiarities of searching for a scientist’s own «paradigm face» have been found. The ability to use the task of defining scientific novelty is emphasized to some extent. The specificity of choosing a paradigm vector of a researcher-political scientist with consideration of the requirements of interdisciplinarity is considered. The purpose of the article is to identify paradigm in political studies as a factor in the formation of authorial conceptualism against the backdrop of interdisciplinary imperatives. The purpose of the article is to highlight the main directions of paradigm and their correlation with modern political theories. It is proved that the choice of the paradigm vector of the researcher-political scientist is confronted with interdisciplinary, first of all philosophical meanings of cognition as a form of social activity. The idea that choosing one’s own paraligmal vector for a specialist political scientist is presented is important because of the need to overcome the Soviet and post-Soviet paradigmatic provinces. It turned out that the formation of the national paradigm of political science, which should be carried out only on condition that the fullest representation of all paradigm directions. The situation of paradigm choices and orientation of political scientist researcher in the world paradigm mainstream is revealed. The necessity of finding a researcher in the environment of those paradigms that give the most significant scientific result is proved. The article establishes that the combination of the universality of interdisciplinary paradigms and the optionality of paradigms for a particular political science study is carried out on the basis of a conceptual and categorical apparatus of political epistemology. It is argued that on the basis of the notion of "scientific truth (episteme)", the formation of the author’s own attitude to the subject of research and the prospect of solving his problem is carried out.
The presence of neurobiology as an interdisciplinary science in the system of natural sciences has become the basis for the development of the academic discipline "Fundamentals of Modern ...Neurobiology" as a component of the natural science training of future psychologists in higher education institutions. The main aim of the article is to structure the above-mentioned discipline to deepen and systematize the natural science knowledge previously mastered by psychology students to modern ideas about the physiological mechanisms of mental activity and human behavior, the causes of occurrence and the neural mechanisms of the main psychopathologies. To this end, one has achieved a number of partial results: a) the analysis of modern neurobiological sources has made it possible to determine the main areas of neurobiology as an interdisciplinary science in the system of the natural disciplines; b) one has justified the expediency of using interdisciplinary links when structuring the course on fundamentals of modern neurobiology; c) one has selected the three most promising areas of neurobiological research relevant to structuring the course on fundamentals of modern neurobiology. It has allowed one to design an integrative academic discipline "Fundamentals of modern neurobiology", which, combining three interdependent and interconnected modules, namely: "Neurobiological essence of human connection with the environment", "Cognitive neurobiology and modern ideas about the higher nervous activity of a person", "neurobiological changes and mechanisms of dysfunctions of the nervous system, higher nervous activity and sensory systems ", - will contribute to the effective implementation of the transformation of the content of natural science training of future psychologists, taking into account current trends in the present and the current state of development of neurobiological sciences.
The work is devoted to the development of an approach to the analysis of curricula of educational programs of higher education in the context of the current federal state educational standards in ...terms of achieving the declared learning outcomes formulated in the form of a set of competencies. This approach may prove useful for developing automated tools for assessing the quality of educational programs, as well as their comparative analysis. We propose a model for representing the curriculum in the form of a simple weighted undirected graph based on the competence-based approach. We propose an approach to the visualization of the graph representation of the curriculum based on the use of a force-directed graph drawing algorithm, which ensures achieving maximum visibility. We propose an approach to determine the interdisciplinary links of educational units of the curriculum based on their total number of credits and the competencies they are involved in. The resulting visual representation of interdisciplinary connections helps to better understand the structure of the curriculum, identify disciplines with the maximum number of interdisciplinary connections, and also decompose the plan into clusters of the most interconnected disciplines. We propose options for defining integral characteristics of graph representations of curricula, based on which the curricula can be evaluated, as well as a comparative analysis of the corresponding educational programs can be performed. As examples, we consider the curricula for the of bachelor programs majoring in 09.03.01 "Computer Science and Computer Engineering" and 09.03.03 "Applied Computer Science ", implemented at the Institute of Space and Information Technology of Siberian Federal University.
