    本研究は,1954年の徳島大学学芸学部附属幼稚園において作成された単元「幼稚園の新しいおうち」の計画が,どのような研究活動上に創出された計画であったのかを,その当時の実践的資料に基づいて明らかにすることを目的とした。研究の結果,明らかとなったのは次の3点である。第1に,幼児の生活経験に着眼した発達調査の実施,第2に,調査結果に基づいて,5歳児にとっての「のぞましい能力」を選定し,保育内容の精選化を図った,第3に,「のぞましい能力」を生活経験の範囲と発達の順序に沿って組織した「5才児の能力表」を作成し,系統的・組織的な保育内容の構築を実現したことである。この単元の計画には,新園舎の建築という幼児を取り巻く生活環境とそこでの幼児の生活に立脚して構想された遊びの中に,「のぞましい能力」を組織的・系統的に位置づけていこうとする意図があったのである。
