The fact that Fan Chuanzheng had re-compiled twenty volumes of Li Bai's collected works was recorded in his article "The new tablet inscription." The compilation was not carried out by Fan himself ...but he was assisted by his aides and staff. Bao Rong, one of Fan's aides, wrote poems following Li Bai's Gufeng style. It's the earliest example of the influence of Gufeng, and might have relation with the compilation. According to the varied texts of "The new tablet inscription" in Wen yuan ying hua and in Li Bai's collection, as well as the reading records of the scholars in the Tang and Song dynasties, Fan's compiled collection might have various circulation tracks and later development. It was collected into the National Library of Tang, and combined with Cao Tang ji into a new edition. It was also circulated and revised in most of the southern regions, especially in Dangtu. This part of text might have been retained in the Dangtu edition.
This essay analyses the Brontë sisters’ shared writing and walking practices in the Haworth parsonage dining-room in order to explore how communal indoor walking may have influenced the composition ...and content of the novels that were written there: Wuthering Heights, Agnes Grey, The Professor, Jane Eyre, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, Shirley, and Villette. Employing the materialist theories of Thomas Rickert, Robert Douglas-Fairhurst, and Karen Barad, the essay explores how the complex web of the sisters’ everyday lived experiences could constitute literary influence. While indoor walking provides only one of many possible routes for such a materialist analysis of influence, the Brontës’ daily evening walks of approximately two hours in length are well documented and can act as a focal point for an investigation of how such experiences intersect with the novels’ composition. Scenes of indoor walking in the Brontë novels foreground affective connections between a subject moved to walk by an intense emotional state and an observer who witnesses and interprets the walk and who may act in response. Communal indoor walking in the novels thus provides a model through which to read materialist influence as, in Barad’s terms, ‘intra-active’ and ‘entangled’.
Barszcz discusses Emersonian influences which can be found in the early poems of Wallace Stevens, specifically in his collection "Harmonium" published in 1923. While there is limited evidence that ...Stevens read Emerson, there are distinct verbal borrowings that go beyond mere echoes of Emerson's works. In the poem "Invective Against Swans," Stevens uses the word "Paphian," which refers to the city where Aphrodite emerged from the sea. This word is reminiscent of Emerson's description of sunsets in his essay "Nature." It is likely that Stevens was familiar with this essay, given Emerson's prominence during that time. Another similarity between Stevens and Emerson can be found in Stevens' poem "Anecdote of the Jar," which echoes Emerson's description of American nature as both wild and threatening. Stevens presents a jar as a symbol of order and civilization in the face of the chaotic wilderness. However, both Stevens and Emerson suggest that organizing nature comes at a cost. These examples demonstrate the influence of Emerson on Stevens' poetic style and themes.

The present paper proposes a theoretical approach related to the critical reception of the Romanian literary avant-garde after 2000, a literary phenomenon in‑between marginalization and recovery ...tendencies. Starting from interwar critical studies from Romania (E. Lovinescu, G. Călinescu, etc.), with predominantly negative perspectives regarding the critical reception of the avant-garde, we will observe how certain clichés of the reception of the phenomenon, seen as “extremist”, as marginal, were perpetuated, with the “barrier” of the apparently impossible literary canonization. After 2000, however, literary studies discuss the historicization of the avant-garde phenomenon, which therefore became canonical in Romanian literary history. However, several elements of the “niche” avant-garde remained in the subsidiary, in the “shadow”. This is what we call the marginal(ized), the secondary avant-garde, which includes a series of less known and researched avant-garde writers, but who contributed to the complex shaping of the avant-garde imaginary. We will analyse several types of works published after 2000, in order to highlight the complexity of the avant-garde, under constant recovery: literary anthologies (Ion Pop, Nicolae Bârna), avant-garde dictionaries (Lucian Pricop, Dan Grigorescu), several critical studies after 2000 (Ion Bogdan Lefter, Ovidiu Morar, Emilia Drogoreanu, Paul Cernat, Dan Gulea, Emanuel Modoc, Delia Ungureanu, Daniel Clinci, Petre Răileanu, Gabriela Glăvan, Ion Pop, etc.). Many of them focus on the recovery trends of some forgotten writers, with the possibility of their inclusion in the central, canonical avant-garde, while other studies pursue new research methodologies, such as the avant-garde seen in a transnational context, in world literature context, etc. An issue that we develop in the context of this extended future research, which is also highlighted upon in the present work, is that of post-Urmuz epigonism within Romanian literary avant-garde, a fact that explains the placement of many writers in the sphere of critical marginalization. Thus, many texts by less researched writers are forgotten, being always associated with the central avant-garde models, especially Urmuz, but also Tristan Tzara or other influential writers within the central avant‑garde groups. It is precisely this problem that made us analyse the way in which the writers who are part of the marginal dimension of the avant-garde are recovered through contemporary literary studies from Romania.
Marlowe's portrayal of Malta in his play The Jew of Malta departs from the traditional view of the island held by Elizabethan readers and theatergoers. While most writings on Malta at the time ...emphasized Christian partisanship against the Ottoman threat, Marlowe presents a heterodox representation of the island and its rulers, the Knights of Malta. This article suggests that Marlowe may have drawn inspiration from two works by Celio Secondo Curione, an Italian humanist and Protestant reformer. Curione's Pasquillus ecstaticus (1544) and De Bello Melitensi a turcis gesto historia nova (1567) both criticize Catholic institutions, including the Knights of Malta. Curione's works present a contrarian view of Malta, which aligns with Marlowe's portrayal. The article argues that Marlowe could have found in Curione's writings a rare dissenting perspective on Malta that influenced his own depiction of the island. This alternative view of Malta challenges the prevailing Christian narrative and offers a more critical interpretation of the Knights of Malta.
