O prima remarca este faptul ca cei doi lexicografi considera ca sursa de împrumut a unui termen nu trebuie cautata doar într-o sigura limba atunci când cuvintele corespondente exista în mai multe ...limbi aflate în contact direct sau indirect cu limba româna. Uneori, indicatiile etimologice devin adevarate explicatii enciclopedice si aici ne referim la cuvintele de origine franceza, formate din elemente grecesti, pentru care cei doi lingvisti indica sistemati elementele componente grecesti ale etimoanelor franceze (este vorba de termeni precum manometru, metafizic, metrologie, metronom, microscop, morfologie si altele). În aceasta analiza nu au fost doar inventariate solutiile etimologice mentionate în dictionare studiate, ci, în cazul în care unii termeni aveau doar etimologie unica, s-a optat pentru o etimologie multipla, dar si invers, unor termeni li s -a propus etimologia unica în locul celei multiple, si, nu în ultimul rând, altor cuvinte cu etimologie multipla s-a preferat fie o etimologie complementara, fie una aditionala.

La termenii eclesiastici latini continuati sau împrumutati din greaca si slavona de româna si de alte limbi romanice, studiati adeseori, Diana Maria Diaconescu insista pe semantismul crestin, ...mostenit: paganus, sanctus, lege(m), agnus, filius, draco, serpens, nunta, mormânt etc., dar si pe împrumut, în duh, iad, rai, taina, prohod, slujba, liturghie, aleluia, octoih, preot, sarbatoare si pe creatie lexicala româneasca, ca boboteaza etc. În concluzii retinem: "Numele sarbatorilor românesti provin, în cea mai mare parte, din limba latina" p. 130), dar, "chiar daca provin din limba latina, nu au etimoane commune cu limbile romanice occidentale, ci alte etimoane" (p. 130, cu exemple la p. 130-131); "Crestinismul popular a trait în simbioza cu crestinismul oficial, iar limbajul religios reflect acest process" (p. 132); "Neologismele de origine slava au devenit, o vreme, populare, si apoi arhaice, iar azi au trecut în fondul pasiv al limbii române" (p. 132-133), ca exemple fiind date Stretenia, Preobejania, Ispas, Blagovestenie. Concluzia noastra valorica este urmatoarea: acest studiu interdisciplinar, realizat de Diana Maria Diaconescu reprezinta un salt calitativ în filologie romanica în tara noastra, fapt care anunta posibiliatea renasterii acestei discipline academice în rândul tineretului studios din învatamântul nostru universitar.

The coronavirus pandemic is directly reflected in the German language and especially its vocabulary. The needs for communications and nomination of new concepts are fulfilled through the emergence of ...new words which expand and renovate the vocabulary. Multiple criteria for neologism detection are presented in the paper. The study uses an entirely digital corpus. The extracted neologisms were registered, described, and classified according to their structure. Considering that compounding is a conventional word formation process, it was suggested that hybrids would be the most productive type of neologisms. The possibilities of enriching the language through corona-related words were discussed.

This paper investigates the Korean neologisms of the years 2017 to 2021, collected by the Center for Korean Language Information Studies at Kyungpook National University, and examines in particular ...the 1,081 neologisms that contains at least one borrowed element, which constitute 58.2% of the neologisms collected during that timeframe. The analysis of the source languages of the loans (i.e., the borrowed elements) confirms the preponderance of English in neologism creation due to its status and prestige globally, with 1,024 neologisms containing at least one English morpheme. The examination of semantic categories of the loan-based neologisms shows the dominant interest of Korean speakers in the Economy, Society, and Life & Lifestyle domains, which is also reflected in those that were included in the dictionary Urimalsaem or suggested for inclusion by the dictionary users. Those neologisms in particular were further analysed and proved to be testament to cultural changes in Korean society, which has been shifting from a traditionally Confucian, male-dominant, work-oriented, and holistic society to a society that gives more space to women (ppaminisuthu “dad feminist”) as well as the individual (nanalayntu “me-me-land”) and their well-being (welapayl “work-life balance”, chonkhangsu “countryside vacances”).
