Na potencialno primernih območjih so bili opravljeni terenski ogledi in preliminarne meritve homogenosti gradienta totalne intenzitete magnetnega polja ter absolutne, bazne intrikomponentne meritve geomagnetnega polja. ; The study of geomagnetic fields is one of the earliest studies in the field of geosciences. At present, measurement of the geomagnetic field is concerned with answering the fundamental questions about the Earth’s deep interior, mantel conductivity, structure and the thermo-mechanical properties of its crust, its lithosphere and the near-Earth environment. This paper presents a method that addresses the problem of site selection for a new geomagnetic field observatoryin the Republic of Slovenia. The method relies on a multi-stage multi-criteria decision model. The Geographic Information System (GIS) was used as a platform enabling the management of the criteria data, spatial analysis, cartographic modelling and production of map layers. Feasible areas were produced using a Boolean overlay, followed by the application of the multi-criteria evaluation (MCE) method on feasible areas to select the best one. Furthermore, preliminary measurements of geomagnetic fields were observed, including the measurement of the total-intensity gradient of the magnetic field vector, the measurement of the geomagnetic field at a basepoint, as well as the absolute and the three componentmeasurements of the geomagnetic field.
Over the last twenty or so years, it has become standard to require policymakers to base their recommendations on evidence. That is now uncontroversial to the point of triviality—of course, policy ...should be based on the facts. But are the methods that policy makers rely on to gather and analyze evidence the right ones? This book explains that the dominant methods which are in use now—broadly speaking, methods that imitate standard practices in medicine, like randomized control trials—do not work. They fail because they do not enhance our ability to predict if policies will be effective. The prevailing methods fall short not just because social science, which operates within the domain of real-world politics and deals with people, differs so much from the natural science milieu of the lab. Rather, there are principled reasons why the advice for crafting and implementing policy now on offer will lead to bad results. Current guides in use tend to rank scientific methods according to the degree of trustworthiness of the evidence they produce. That is valuable in certain respects, but such approaches offer little advice about how to think about putting such evidence to use. The book focuses on showing policymakers how to effectively use evidence, explaining what types of information are most necessary for making reliable policy, and offers lessons on how to organize that information.

Cognitive processes in teams have been a valuable arena for team researchers to explore. Team cognition research advances and informs a variety of disciplines, including cognitive and social ...sciences, engineering, military science, organizational science, human factors, medicine, and communications. There has been a great deal of progress in the team cognition literature, yet the field is still in its early stages of maturity. There is much more to be gained from the field's insights and there is a need to unite the diverse array of scholarly ideas that permeate the field. This movement will serve to organize the research and ideas that have surfaced in the field, thereby making them more accessible to different disciplines while at the same time, motivating continued progress in the field. This book aims to be a step in this direction and acts as a forum for leading scholars to share their ideas, theories, models, and conceptions about what matters and where more attention is needed in the field of team cognition.
