The development of lasers capable of producing high-intensity pulses has opened a new area in the study of light-matter interactions. The corresponding laser fields are strong enough to compete with ...the Coulomb forces in controlling the dynamics of atomic systems and give rise to multiphoton processes. THE EFFECT OF PROBLEM BASED LEARNING AND CRITICAL THINKING ON HIGH ORDER THINGKING ABILITY AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning model and critical ...thinking skills on students' high-order thinking about optical materials. Quasi-experimental method with two-way ANOVA design was used to conduct this study with 34 second semester physic education students of IKIP PGRI Pontianak. Data of students’ higher order thinking ability was obtained from multiple choice test with reason while the data of students' critical thinking ability was measured using multiple choice test. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that: (1) there is an influence of the problem based learning model on high student's thinking ability, (2) there is an influence of high critical thinking ability and low critical thinking ability on high student's thinking ability and (3) the interaction between the application of problem based learning model with the ability to think critically to the students' high level of thinking ability. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model problem based learning, keterampilan berpikir kritis dan interaksinya terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa pada materi optika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen semu dengan desain two way ANOVA. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di IKIP PGRI Pontianak pada mahasiswa semester II program studi pendidikan fisika sebanyak 34 orang mahasiswa. Data kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda dengan alasan sedangkan data kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa diukur dengan menggunakan tes berbentuk multiple choice. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh penerapan model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa, (2) terdapat pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kritis tinggi dan kemampuan berpikir kritis rendah terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa dan (3) terdapat interaksi antara penerapan model problem based learning dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi mahasiswa.
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is the optical analog of ultrasound imaging and is emerging as a powerful imaging technique that enables non-invasive, in vivo, high resolution, cross-sectional ...imaging in biological tissue. A new generation OCT technology has now been developed, representing a quantum leap in resolution and speed, achieving in vivo optical biopsy, i.e. the visualization of tissue architectural morphology in situ and in real time. Functional extensions of OCT technology enable non-invasive, depth resolved functional assessment and imaging of tissue. These new techniques should not only improve image contrast, but should also enable the differentiation of pathologies via metabolic properties or functional state. The book introduces OCT technology and applications not only from an optical and technological viewpoint, but also from biomedical and clinical perspectives. The chapters are written by leading international research groups, in a style comprehensible to a broad audience. Nöromyelitis optika, nadir görülen ancak oldukça ciddi bir demiyelinizan hastalıktır. Optik sinirlerin ve spinal kordun akut ya da tekrarlayan demiyelinizan enflamasyonu ile görülür. Yirmibir ...yaşında, kadın hasta, akut görme kaybı, tetrapleji ve solunum arresti nedeniyle yoğun bakım ünitesine kabul edildi. Beyin omurilik sıvısında pleositoz, ve artmış protein seviyesi tespit edildi. Ig G ye bağlı oligoklonal bant formasyonu negatifti. Kraniyal manyetik rezonans görüntülemesinde periventriküler bölgede, mezensefalonda ve sol temporal lob subkortikal bölgede demyelinizasyon mevcuttu. Aynı zamanda servikomeduller bileşkeden servikal vertebra 2. seviyeye kadar uzanan demiyelinizasyon vardı. Hasta steroid ve azotiyopirin tedavisine cevap vermedi. Ancak plazmaferez olgunun kliniğinde dramatik bir iyileşme sağladı
