In the period from 2005 to 2009 225 samples of apples, lettuce and potatoes from Slovene producers included in integrated pest management (IPM) were analysed for plant protection product (PPP) ...residues. The samples were analysed for the presence of more than 200 different active compounds using four analytical methods. In 38.7% of apple samples residues were not detected, 58.6% of apple samples contained residues lower than or equal to Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs) while 2.7% of apple samples exceeded MRLs. In 84.6% of lettuce samples residues were not detected, 12.3% of lettuce samples contained residues lower than or equal to MRLs while 3.1% of lettuce samples exceeded MRLs. In 98.0% of potato samples residues were not detected, 2.0% of potato samples contained residues lower than or equal to MRLs and no potato samples exceeded MRLs. Multiple residues were found only in apples and lettuce. The trend observed during the years was the decrease of sample portion of samples containing multiple residues in apples from 2005 to 2008. The most frequently found active substance in apples and lettuce was dithiocarbamates. In potato only phosalone was found.
V obdobju od 2005 do 2009 smo na ostanke fitofarmacevtskih sredstev (FFS) analizirali 225 vzorcev jabolk, solate in krompirja slovenskih proizvajalcev vključenih v integrirano pridelavo (IP). Vse vzorce smo analizirali s štirimi analitskimi metodami na prisotnost več kot 200 različnih aktivnih spojin. V 38,7% vzorcev jabolk ostankov nismo določili, 58,6% vzorcev jabolk je vsebovalo ostanke manjše ali enake maksimalnim dovoljenim količinam ostankov (MRL) medtem ko je 2,7% vzorcev jabolk preseglo MRL vrednosti. V 84.6% vzorcev solate ostankov nismo določili, 12,3% vzorcev solate je vsebovalo ostanke manjše ali enake MRL vrednostim medtem ko je 3,1% vzorcev solate preseglo MRL vrednosti. V 98,0% vzorcev krompirja ostankov nismo določili, 2,0% vzorcev krompirja je vsebovalo ostanke manjše ali enake MRL vrednostim in nobeden vzorec krompirja ni presegel MRL vrednosti. Ostanke dveh ali več aktivnih spojin smo določili le v jabolkih in solati. Trend, ki smo ga opazili tekom let je, da delež vzorcev, ki vsebujejo ostanke dveh ali več aktivnih spojin v jabolkih, pada od leta 2005 do 2008. Najpogosteje najdena aktivna snov v jabolkih in solati je ditiokarbamati. V krompirju smo določili le fosalon.
V sicer skromnem (N = 148, NISP = 72) favnističnem vzorcu iz bronastodobnega najdišča Mali Otavnik pri Bistri (Ljubljansko barje, osrednja Slovenija) je bilo zastopanih naj-manj ...13 vrst velikih sesalcev, od tega le pet domačih. Lovne vrste prevladujejo tudi po številu določenih primerkov, saj njihov delež presega 70 % NISP. V tem smislu Mali Otavnik bistveno odstopa od večine sočasnih najdišč v širši regiji, kjer je (ostankov) lovnih vrst praviloma le za vzorec. Med verjetnejše vzroke za nenavadno favnistično sliko tukaj obravnavanega najdišča sodijo kulturne preference tam živečih ljudi, specifične naravne danosti Ljubljanskega barja v bronasti dobi ter morda tudi sama funkcija naselbine.
Analiza skromnega (NISP = 21) kostnega gradiva izbronastodobnih naselbin pri Iški Loki in Žlebiču je izpostavi-la odsotnost ostankov lovnih vrst in drobnice. Ohranjenost kostnesubstance ...podpira tezo o Iški Loki kot plani naselbini na trd-nem barjanskem obrobju, tj. izven domnevno že zamočvirjene-ga območja, ki naj bi ga v eneolitiku zasedalo jezero.

The monograph Drobci ledenodobnega okolja (“Fragments of Ice Age environments”) presents a compilation of seventeen chapters in which experts from different scientific fields discuss specific topics ...related to the Ice Age in Europe. Ten of them are devoted to the presentation, analysis and interpretation of palaeontological data concerning various large mammal species ranging from mastodon and mammoth to the cave hyena, ibex, cave lion and bears, with the emphasis being placed on the cave bear. Several chapters address the topic of Last Glacial climatic conditions in the Southeastern Alps by studying fossil micromammal and palaeobotanical remains as well as geoarchaeologiocal data. A special article is devoted to a comprehensive review of previous analysis of the bone flute from Divje babe I, but includes also new musicological research findings on the extraordinary technical capabilities of this oldest musical instrument. The concluding chapter presents a study of old manuscripts and printed sources, providing some interesting insights into the discovery of one of the most significant palaeontological sites in Slovenia - the cave of Mokriška jama.The monograph is dedicated to the anniversary of the prominent researcher of the Slovenian Palaeolithic - Ivan Turk. His work, main achievements and selected bibliography are briefly presented in the introductory chapter.
The growth promoting effect of basal and foliar application of coir pith based cyanobacterial biofertilizer on Basella rubra L. was determined by analyzing the morphological and biochemical ...parameters of the control and test plants after treatment. Compared to control plants test plants showed better height, stem circumference, number of branches, number of leaves and number of flowers. Biochemical analysis of test and control plants also revealed similar increase of parameters in test sample. Thus, from our study we recommend cyanobacteria be considered as a serious contender in the field of biofertilizer.

Med ...drugim je skrbno proučil tudi nastanek prve Koče na Kranjskem Snežniku v davnem letu 1874, ki je bila sploh prva planinska koča v slovenskih gorah. Svoje ugotovitve je strnil v članek »Koča na Kranjskem Snežniku«, ki je bil objavljen v društveni ediciji PD Ilirska Bistrica, »Knjiga o Snežniku« izd. Leta 2000. Zapisal je »Kočo je zgradila Primorska podružnica Nemško-avstrijskega planinskega društva v Trstu in jo odprla 19. julija 1874. Je prva koča, ki jo je na ozemlju Slovenije zgradilo kako planinsko društvo. Narisal jo je češki slikar Jan Havliček (1856-1934), ki je posebno rad slikal v Trenti in je najbrž zato svojemu priimku dodal še ime Trentan.Slika je verjetno nastala v zvezi z darilom avstrijskih podružnic Nemško-avstrijskega planinskega društva prestolonasledniku Rudolfu ob njegovi poroki leta 1880. V dar je dobil sliko Rudolfove koče v Visokih Turah, na njenem okviru pa so bile slike planinskih koč, ki so jih zgradile avstrijske podružnice, med njimi tudi Koča na Kranjskem Snežniku. Slika koče je bila objavljena v jubilejni publikaciji Petra Augusta Pazzeja Chronik der Sektion Küstenland der Deutshen und Osterreishischen Alpeinvereins 1873-1892, ki je izšla v Trstu 1893…« Zapis posveča avtor dr.
