Considerar la letra como una realidad que responde a una razón proyectual y que se integra en contextos y entornos tan distintos como transversales es el objeto de estudio de las dos investigaciones ...que presentamos. La letra como proyecto, letras escritas versus letras diseñadas, identidades estáticas e identidades dinámicas, el entorno digital y las herramientas de generación tipográfica son algunos de los aspectos que proponemos como punto de partida para el enfoque del pensamiento pluridisciplinar que atañe al mundo de la letra y que pone de manifiesto su trascendencia a lo largo de la historia y su importancia respecto a la cultura, a la tecnología y a la sociedad en general.
The aim of this research is to develop interactive multimedia for Typography learning in the Visual Communication Design subject and to find out the effectiveness of multimedia that has been ...developed. The study was conducted at The Department of Art Education, Faculty of Languages and Arts, State University of Makassar in the second semester of 2005/2006 and 2006/2007 Academic Year. The result of this research: 1) this multimedia is applicable for classroom instruction; and based on the t-test analysis of the student achievement shows that the multimedia program is effective for students learning. ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan multimedia interaktif untuk pembelajaran Tipografi dalam mata kuliah Disain Komunikasi Visual dan untuk menemukan keefektifan multimedia yang telah dikembangkan. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa Semester II Tahun Akademik 2005/2006 dan 2006/2007 pada Program Studi Pendidikan Seni Rupa Jurusan Seni Rupa Fakultas Seni dan Desain Universitas Negeri Makassar, dengan responden sebanyak 68 orang. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia interaktif dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Berdasarkan analisis uji-t, menunjukkan bahwa program multimedia efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.
Johannes Vermeer and Tom Gouws : textual discourse through pen and paint brush The poetic articulation of a painting takes place on the basis of the transposition of the visual text to a word text. ...In this way interaction between die poem text and visual text come into being. This interaction between poetry and the art of painting is of such a nature that one can speak of the poem as a speaking painting or of the painting as a silent poem. Seen within this frame, it is assumed that the poem helps to fill the painting with additional meaning. The poem's text is therefore an imaging of the content of the painting as a way of visual embodiment. In Vermeer's paintings the composition of the work of art is important regarding perspective, projection and fusion (merger) of an entire cosmos. In the same way the painter captures landscapes and beings in stylistic positions with brush and canvas, the poet makes a poetic painting using a pen as instrument to capture words. The objective of this article is to examine in which way the poem is a capturing or imaging of the painting's symbols. The poem text of Tom Gouws that is explored will be seen as a textual articulation of the painting. Poems such as 'ars poetica' and 'die kantklosser' will be read as speaking paintings of visual texts and visual writing through which an exceptional merger of pen and brush come into being.
