The current study investigated correlations among gifted students' academic performance; emotional, social, analytical, creative, and practical intelligence; and their implicit theories of ...intelligence. Furthermore, it studied the effect of gender and grade on these variables. The participants included 174 gifted fifth (41.4%) and sixth (58.6%) grade students, comprising 53.4% male and 46.6% female. The following analytical, creative, and practical intelligence tests were administered: Aurora Battery, the emotional intelligence scale, the implicit theories of intelligence scale, and an assessment scale of students' performances. The results revealed significant correlations among academic performance, kinds of intelligence, and implicit theories of intelligence. There were no significant differences between the male and female students in these measures. There were, however, significant differences between the fifth and sixth grade students, with the sixth-grade students showing higher levels of all kinds of intelligence, except emotional intelligence. Moreover, the results indicated that the intelligence measures were non-significantly affected by either gender or gender-grade interaction. Overall, our results showed that most types of intelligence are related to giftedness, and that there were no gender differences among gifted students on measures of intelligence.
The present study investigated the types of intelligence BAU students prefer to use in learning English. This study used a quantitative method for collecting data via a questionnaire. The subjects of ...the study were 138 Jordanian students at Al-Huson University College, Al-Balqa Applied University. The results revealed that logical-mathematical and linguistic intelligence was the most dominant type of intelligence among the students. However, neither their gender nor their academic degree program had a significant effect on their learning type of intelligence. Nevertheless, the data showed substantial differences among the students in the interpersonal type of intelligence in favor of male students, while these differences were in favor of the females in the intrapersonal type. There were significant differences in the logical-mathematical type of intelligence between the bachelor’s degree students and their diploma colleagues in favor of the bachelor ones. The researcher attempts to shed light on Jordanian EFL students’ types of intelligence and their preferred types when learning English, in hopes that it becomes possible for teachers to recognize the types according to their students’ profiles and help match them with those present or assess whether they need to develop strategies to cover the full spectrum of the types found in MI Theory.

The relevance of the study is being covered through the changes in modern educational standards and the latest approaches of psychology for special needs to people with intellectual disabilities, the ...search for new opportunities to improve the training, education, and psychological support of the individual at different age stages, in particular such crisis ones as adolescence. The purpose of the scientific work is to determine the specifics of the mutual influence of emotional intelligence of psychologists (teachers – head teachers, social workers) interacting with adolescent students with intellectual disabilities on the development of emotional intelligence and its components in people of puberty with atypical development (intellectual disorders). The study involved only those teachers who often and closely cooperate with teenagers, in particular, conduct educational and explanatory conversations, psychocorrective classes, psychotherapy sessions, etc. To determine emotional intelligence (both for adults and adolescents), two standardised test methods were used: “Emotional intelligence questionnaire (N. Hall)” and “Emotional intelligence questionnaire “Emin” (D. Lyusin)”. In the course of the study, positive dynamics were established in experimental groups and an increase in the level of emotional intelligence and some of its components in adolescents with intellectual disabilities, who were influenced by psychologists (teachers, social workers) in the form of conversations, psychological correctional classes, and psychotherapy sessions. The reliable links between the components of emotional intelligence of psychologists/ teachers and the level of development of emotional intelligence of adolescents with intellectual disabilities were established and confirmed by the results of statistical analysis. The results obtained make it possible to develop effective psychological support for the adolescents under study, and, if necessary, to carry out supervision of psychologists or conduct psychotherapy sessions with teachers
