Care pathways for the organization of patients' care Care pathways, also known as clinical pathways, critical pathways or integrated care pathways, are used all over the world. Although they are used ...internationally, numerous misunderstandings still surround them. The goal of this paper is to provide an overview of the history of these pathways, of care pathway development, the effectiveness of care pathways, and of some of the challenges facing current healthcare. Pathways are more than just a document in the patient record. They are a concept for making patient-focused care operational, and for supporting patient group modelling with different levels of predictability. Care pathways are a method within the field of continuous quality improvement and are used in daily practice as a product in the patient record. This paper explains these different issues.

Članek obravnava bivalni prostor v domu starejših občanov in njegov vpliv na varnost ter dobro počutje varovancev. Za zdravo življenje in zdravo staranje sta zelo pomembna širši in ožji bivalni ...prostor. Varovanci v domovih starejših občanov pogosto trpijo zaradi več funkcijskih motenj hkrati, ki so posledica slabšega zdravstvenega stanja. Z raziskavo, ki je bila izvedena v Domu starejših občanov Ljubljana Šiška, smo želeli potrditi dejstvo, da je ožji bivalni prostor zelo pomemben za zagotavljanje varnega življenja starejših v domu. Na drugem mestu je strokovnost, sledi vestnost, prijaznost osebja, dobra hrana in čistoča. Izsledki raziskave so tudi pokazali, da imajo zaposleni v zdravstveno – negovalni službi zelo pomembno vlogo pri zagotavljanju varnosti in dobrega počutja varovancev v domu starejših občanov.
An intense debate has played out in recent years regarding how to implement a so-called "flexicurity system"-a labor market reform that combines flexibility, particularly in the hiring and firing ...process of firms, with security in the employment and income of the workforce. In Flexicurity Capitalism, Flaschel and Greiner lay out the macroeconomic structure of this system, providing the detailed mathematical models necessary to ponder seriously how such a system can work. Their book rests on three pillars of thought: Marx, Kalecki-Keynes, and Schumpeter. The authors highlight the relevant contributions from the work of each and build upon it. They in turn provide a basic framework for flexicurity capitalism and then compare their economic system to pure capitalism to determine the best and most practical way forward. Their scope is ambitious: to address the shortcomings of a narrow focus on mass unemployment, selective-schooling systems, property rights based solely on ownership without qualified business decision-making expertise, financial markets that do not of channel savings properly into real investment, and innovations that ignore human rights or moral sentiments. V Celju so lani zgradili nov, sodobno urejen gasilski dom, kamor se je vselila poklicna gasilska četa. Ta se je pred kratkim preimenovala v Zavod za požarno-varnostno službo, ki ...je edini te vrste v Jugoslaviji. Zavod je finančno samostojen in je razdeljena na štiri ekonomske enote: operativno in servisno službo ter oddelek za izdelavo novega gasilskega orodja in opreme. Lani je bilo v celjskem okraju 58 požarov in 62 prometnih nesreč pri katerih je sodelovala operativna služba, preventiva pa je pripravila v istem času okrog 80 predavanj po kolektivih.
Celje: nov gasilski dom, stavba, gasilska vozila pred stavbo, delo v delavnici, center za javljanje požara, "akcija" - spuščanje gasilcev po drogu, nujna vožnja.

Staranje prebivalstva predstavlja enega največjih sodobnih izzivov Evropske Unije, vključno Slovenije. Za doseganje cilja višje stopnje zaposlenosti starejših v skladu s cilji Lizbonske strategije do ...leta 2010 je nujna aktivacija vseh akterjev, da se s pomočjo sinergije ukrepov ter politik izboljša trenutno stanje in kvaliteta dela starejših delavcev na trgu dela. Slovenija namreč predstavlja eno od držav z nizkim deležem zaposlenosti starejših delavcev. Vsekakor je za povečevanje stopnje zaposlenosti starejših oseb ter kasnejšega odhajanje s trga dela (aktivno staranje) ključnega pomena intenzivnejše vlaganje v starejše delavce, predvsem v smislu vseživljenjskega učenja za zagotovitev dolgoročne konkurenčnosti na trgu dela.
