We first specify Anton Vodnik’s role in literary history and his style. The article’s main interest is the distribution and types of intertextuality in his poetry from the inter-war period (Žalostne ...roke, 1922; Vigilije, 1923; Talitá, kumi, 1923) with regard to the Marian motif. We consider poems that are intertextually connected and influenced by the Bible, Rilke, Verlaine, Maeterlinck, Trakl, and Župančič. We also reveal intermedial relations with the early and high Renaissance, Pre-Raphaelite art, art nouveau decorative style, and paintings by the Kralj brothers. There are detailed intertextual analyses of the poems Oznanjenje The Annunciation, Ženitna v Kani The wedding feast at Cana and Immaculata.
A hardheaded book that confronts and outlines possible
solutions to a seemingly intractable problem: that helping the poor
often hurts the environment, and vice versa. Can we fight
poverty and ...inequality while protecting the environment? The
challenges are obvious. To rise out of poverty is to consume more
resources, almost by definition. And many measures to combat
pollution lead to job losses and higher prices that mainly hurt the
poor. In Unsustainable Inequalities, economist Lucas
Chancel confronts these difficulties head-on, arguing that the
goals of social justice and a greener world can be compatible, but
that progress requires substantial changes in public policy.
Chancel begins by reviewing the problems. Human actions have put
the natural world under unprecedented pressure. The poor are least
to blame but suffer the most-forced to live with pollutants that
the polluters themselves pay to avoid. But Chancel shows that
policy pioneers worldwide are charting a way forward. Building on
their success, governments and other large-scale organizations must
start by doing much more simply to measure and map environmental
inequalities. We need to break down the walls between traditional
social policy and environmental protection-making sure, for
example, that the poor benefit most from carbon taxes. And we need
much better coordination between the center, where policies are
set, and local authorities on the front lines of deprivation and
contamination. A rare work that combines the quantitative skills of
an economist with the argumentative rigor of a philosopher,
Unsustainable Inequalities shows that there is still hope
for solving even seemingly intractable social problems.
Examines the risks associated with the release of excessive nitrogen into the environment (climate change, depletion of the ozone layer, air pollution, water pollution, loss of biodiversity, ...deterioration of soil quality). The report also examines the uncertainty associated with the ability of nitrogen to move from one ecosystem to another and cause 'cascading effects'. In addition to better management of nitrogen risks at the local level, there is a need to consider the global risks associated with the continued increase in nitrous oxide concentrations and to prevent excess nitrogen in all its forms by developing cost-effective strategies for all its sources.
Dans la présente contribution, nous étudierons plus spécialement l’influence de la langue française sur l’usage du vocabulaire militaire dans Ljubljanske novice (Les Nouvelles de Ljubljana, ...1797-1800) de Valentin Vodnik. L’analyse du vocabulaire militaire montre que Vodnik a construit les fondements de la terminologie militaire slovène, mais il faut souligner que nous sommes en présence d’articles de journaux ayant une autre fonction et poursuivant d’autres objectifs que les textes techniques strictement militaires. Dans les Ljubljanske novice, Vodnik décrit la situation militaire en Europe à la fin du XVIIIe siècle, notamment les guerres napoléoniennes, à l’aide de descriptions et de nombreux exemples. Pour élaborer la terminologie militaire slovène, Vodnik a souvent opté pour un emprunt aux langues étrangères, en priorité au français, ce qui fera plus spécialement l’objet de notre attention. Dans le vocabulaire repris du français, nous pouvons remarquer aussi bien des emprunts que des mots étrangers adaptés et cités. À la fin de cette présentation des expressions militaires de Vodnik, nous les comparerons brièvement avec la langue militaire de Andrej Komel. Comme le dictionnaire de Komel est considéré comme le fondement de la terminologie militaire slovène, nous allons regarder combien d’expressions militaires reprises du français par l’intermédiaire de l’allemand utilisées par Vodnik ont subsisté et ont été incluses dans le dictionnaire de Andrej Komel.
Dunaj in Praga sta pomembna srednjeevropska turistična kraja, ki ju je v letu 2011 obiskalo enako število tujih turistov. Čeprav sta mesti približno enako veliki in imata podobno kulturno turistično ...ponudbo, se močno razlikujeta po prostorski razporeditvi turistov in njihovi rabi prostora. Mestno središče Prage je znano po zastojih, prenapolnjenosti in enofunkcijski rabi, medtem ko središče Dunaja obišče podobno število gostov, vendar si pri tem lokalne funkcije in turizem ne nasprotujejo. Na podlagi podatkov, pridobljenih s pomočjo geografsko označenih fotografij obeh mest, ki so bile objavljene na spletnih straneh za izmenjavo fotografij, smo izdelali grafa prostorske razporeditve turističnih znamenitosti in poti. Z analizo teh primerljivih grafov smo lahko pojasnili razlike v turističnih sistemih obeh mest, ki so povezane predvsem z njuno morfološko zgradbo in različnimi pristopi k razvoju mestnega turizma v preteklem desetletju.
Članek najprej navaja pomene in pozitivne učinke branja: boljše razumevanje lastne izkušnje, razvoj jezikovnih zmožnosti itd. Nadalje se osredotoča na trivialno literaturo: najprej jo definira, nato ...povzame statistične podatke o izposoji lete v slovenskih knjižnicah v poletnih mesecih v letu 2010. Opiše tudi kvarne učinke branja tovrstnega leposlovja, še posebej na otroke, ki jih avtorica opaža tudi pri svojih dijakih: lažne (stereotipne) predstave o svetu, manjše zmožnosti kritičnega mišljenja in slabše poznavanje jezikovnih sredstev, vpliv na podzavest in zgledovanje po neprimernih literarnih junakih. Nadalje avtorica špekulira o možnih vzrokih za tovrstno izbiro branja.

Agricultural and forestry tractors are very often involved in accidents with overturning because of their construction with a high centre of gravity. Such accidents are caused by various factors such ...as drivers, vehicles, driving conditions, or landscape/terrain. The data related to the number of deaths in accidents with agriculture and forestry tractors was collected from several European countries. The landscapes (or terrain) of the countries for tractor traffic was assessed by the coefficient of the topography and the economic development level of the countries was evaluated in terms of the GDP. The correlation analysis among the factors showed us that neither the relief of the country landscape nor the economic development level of the countries have a significant influence on the number of deaths in such accidents. The essential influence is in the legislation for the tractors and drivers. The comparison of three countries (Austria, Slovenia, and Serbia) showed the implementation of legislation in this area and time are needed for reducing the number of deaths by half.
Kmetijski in gozdarski traktorji so zelo pogosto vpleteni v nesreče s prevračanjem, saj imajo zaradi njihove konstrukcije zelo visoko težišče. Take nesreče se dogajajo zaradi različnih vplivov kot so vozniki, vozila, vozne razmere ali površina/teren. Zbrani so bili podatki o številu mrtvih v nesrečah s kmetijskimi in gozdarskimi traktorji za več evropskih držav. Oblika površine držav, po katerih poteka vožnja traktorja, je bila ocenjena s koeficientom topografije, stopnja gospodarskega razvoja držav pa je bila ocenjena z BDP. Korelacijska analiza med faktorji je pokazala, da niti oblika površine države niti stopnja gospodarskega razvoja držav nimata močnejšega vpliva na število mrtvih v tovrstnih nesrečah. Bistveni vpliv imajo predpisi za traktorje in voznike. Primerjava treh držav (Avstrije, Slovenije in Srbije) je pokazala, da sta potrebna implementacija predpisov na tem področju in čas, da se število mrtvih prepolovi.
