In the past forty years, the development of Chinese scenic design has been influenced by many forms of scenography from around the world. As time has progressed, numerous plays have reflected Chinese ...scenic designers’ tendency to actively search for visual themes from traditional Chinese culture that suit contemporary aesthetic standards. In the process of this search, Chinese traditional culture has been restructured for application in contemporary scenic design. Questions regarding how scenic designers should, with originality, inherit and transform Chinese traditional culture within a contemporary aesthetic context and, within that process, how they should apply new theatre technologies, have come to the fore. The most representative works of Chinese scenic designers in the past decade often embody traditional Chinese aesthetics and temperaments in very expressive ways. Transforming the conceptual beauty of traditional Chinese culture into contemporary forms in scenic design, they are clearly influenced by Chinese aesthetics and philosophy.

This study examines the complex interactions in organizational structures using Bohm's ‘wholeness’ and Prigogine’s equilibrium theories. Wave analogies and quantum principles like superposition, ...non-locality, and entanglement explain fluctuations in these systems. Thus, this research suggests a paradigm shift in organizational methods towards a balanced, scientific approach. Organizations need flexible tactics and behave like dissipative structures to maintain internal coherence in chaos. Heightened through mindful techniques, corporate consciousness provides insights into temporal dynamics, improving decision-making, market resilience, and an expanded organizational ethos founded in present awareness. This heightened consciousness and demand for organizational alignment and coherence empowers the corporate entities to succeed in present conditions and anticipate and address future obstacles. This study introduces ‘Mindful Corporate Entity’ (‘MCE’), emphasizing mindfulness as a critical tool for organizational well-being and sustainability. This change is proposed to close management gaps.
This study of mystery and miracles in nursing offers a unique perspective in examning and understanding these phenomena grounded in a unitary science framework and guided by unitary appreciative ...inquiry. It examined 6 years of postings from an online course that gave nurses globally the opportunity to describe and elaborate upon experiences of mystery and miracles in their professional and personal lives. The analysis and synopsis processes used revealed the diversity and uniqueness of mystery and miracle phenomena and acceptance by nurses of their reality without need for scientific explanation despite the tendency to dismiss them by colleagues.
Religious and spiritual (r/s) struggles have been robustly linked to negative outcomes, such as greater psychological distress, reduced well-being, and difficulty finding meaning in life. R/s ...struggles, however, do not inevitably lead to decline. Many people report post-traumatic and spiritual growth through their r/s struggles, even though correlational studies linking r/s struggles to perceptions of growth have produced mixed results. How do we make sense of this overall pattern of findings? Perhaps growth following r/s struggles occurs under certain conditions. Prior conceptual work by Pargament suggests that specific aspects of one’s orienting system (i.e., the confluence of r/s, dispositional, and psychosocial factors which help guide people in their search for significance and purpose) may play a pivotal role in predicting growth or decline in the wake of an r/s struggle. In the present empirical study, we expected to find that among r/s strugglers, those with orienting systems marked by greater wholeness would be more likely to report growth and less decline. Four dimensions of greater wholeness (purposiveness, breadth and depth, life affirmation, cohesiveness) were measured by the presence of meaning in one’s life, self-control, universality, optimism, compassion, openness to change while tolerating doubt, and a collaborative problem-solving relationship with God. We tested these hypotheses using data from a cross-sectional study (N = 1162) of undergraduates at three universities. Results generally supported our hypotheses, with a few exceptions. Greater wholeness was associated with reports of more growth and less decline after an r/s struggle.
Psychology, as it is taught in most universities on the African continent, is an extension of the Eurocentric psychological paradigm. This article argues that colonization has not only led to the ...loss of land, it has been accompanied by the eradication of complex, interdisciplinary knowledge traditions that comprise the subject of Afrikan Psychology. The article goes on to outline the inclusive epistemology and transdisciplinary methodology that undergird Afrikan Psychology. The orientating concepts in Afrikan Psychology are introduced. The urgent need to develop interventions that are informed by the Afrocentric paradigm is highlighted. The article concludes with a call for the study of Afrikan languages to unearth the psychological concepts that are embedded in them.

People's perceptions of events like a pandemic are shaped by individual experiences within their socio-cultural context. Attributing negative or positive meanings to an experience may influence the ...sense of Being, Belonging and Becoming.
To investigate the impact of the isolation/social distancing measures on people's sense of Being, Belonging, Becoming and overall sense of Occupational Wholeness compared to the time before the Covid-19 Pandemic as it is perceived by an Iranian population.
The Model of Occupational Wholeness used to inform the theoretical basis of this study and development of the survey questions. An internet-based survey using a convenient and snowball sampling method was conducted. A self-administered questionnaire was published using a software named Porsline. A sample of 1624 members of the general population in Iran (67% response rate) completed the questionnaire within the first four weeks of the isolation/social distancing period starting on 18 March 2020. The Data was analysed by the SPSS 22.
The participants showed a more positive perceived level of Being and Belonging as well as an overall sense of Occupational Wholeness, and no difference in the perceived sense of Becoming during the isolation/social distancing period compared to the time before the Covid 19 pandemic.
The findings show that the isolation/social distancing measures were perceived by participants as an opportunity to meet some of their Being, and Belonging needs that contribute to an overall sense of OccupationalWholeness. This highlights the role that Occupational science and Occupational therapy may have in helping people in situations when they need to rethink and replan for what they Do and the way they attribute meaning to their experiences.
When viewed through the lens of embodiment the traditional psychoanalytic concepts of repression/dissociation, transference, resistance, and interpretation are radically transformed. Drawing on the ...writings of Merleau-Ponty and Lakoff and Johnson, the authors suggest replacing concept-based psychoanalytic language with body-based words and phrases and present a new approach to describing clinical material. They offer a fresh understanding of the widely accepted "dissociation-enactment" model and a view of analytic therapy as meetings between "foreign bodies."

The theory and practice of corporate communication is usually driven by other disciplinary concerns than the field of organizational communication. However, its particular mind-set focusing on ...wholeness and consistency in corporate messages increasingly influence the domain of contemporary organizational communication as well. We provide a formative and critical review of research on corporate communication as a platform for highlighting crucial intersections with select research traditions in organizational communication to argue for a greater integration between these two areas of research. Following this review, we relax the assumptions underlying traditional corporate communication research and show how these dimensions interact in organizational and communication analysis, thus, demonstrating the potential for a greater cross-fertilization between the two areas of research. This cross-fertilization, as we will illustrate, enriches the theorization of corporate and organizational communication and may better link micro- and macro level analyses.

Kinesthesia is a universal condition. It may be understood as the creative condition for all sense and sensibility. Kinesthesia operates as an enabling mechanism of “I can” and “I cannot”. Health ...communication requires a reconsideration of the situated communicative body and expression found in comparative East/West wellness practices. In order to accomplish this task, the exploration of whole and healthy require a different understanding, that is, that wholeness is a process of the interaction of body’s internal environment and external environment in rhythmic interplay of healthy/unhealthy, wholly/unwholly play. The articulation of the above will see that kinesthesis is the creative condition of maintaining and restoring health. It is through a phenomenology of kinesthesia that the fundamental dimension of health communication can be established as a science.
