  • Genska tipizacija dednih znamenj v transfuzijski medicini = Genotyping of genetic traits intransfusion medicine
Rožman, Primož, 1954- ; Maček, Marjeta, 1966- ; Dovč, Tadeja
In blood transfusion, compatibility between the donor and recipient of all blood cells has to be taken into account due to existence of polymorphic allogeneic traits, which are expressed in all types ... of blood cells. The immuneresponse to foreign antigens after transfusion or in the pregnancy leadsto various forms of hypersensitivity to erythrocyte, thrombocyte and granulocyte antigens, which have to be diagnosed and treated accordingly. For the diagnosis and corresponding treatment, both serological and molecular genetic investigations that enable DNA-based antigen typing are available; their usefulness is most evident when we are dealing with the problems regarding fetomaternal sensitisation.
