First chronologies of the Eneolithic pile dwellings from the Ljubljana Moor, Slovenia

In the Ljubljana moor in Slovenia the wood from three eneolithic pile dwellings, archaeologically dated 3000-3500 BC was investigated. Oak (Quercus sp.) and ash (Fraxinus sp.) were predominating wood ...species. The floating chronologies and the first C14 dates are presented. The possibility of dendrochronological dating is discused.
