  • Vrsta Paradisea liliastrum (L.) Bertol. v Krnskem pogorju (Julijske Alpe) = Paradisea liliastrum (L.) Bertol. in the Krn mountains (the Julian Alps)
    Dakskobler, Igor
We described the new locality of south- and central-European montane species Paradisea liliastrum above the village of Drežniske Ravne, under the ridge of Krnčica (9747/2, UM92) in the Krn mountains ... (the Julian Alps). It grows in montane hay-fields, which are partly still mown, but mostly abandoned. We described and analyzed the floristic composition of their communities according to syntaxonomical affinity. Rather proportionate presence of diagnostic species of different syntaxonomical groups is the consequence of the altitudinal belt of thriving (1000 to 1300 m a.s.l.), sunny aspect, geological parent material (platy limestone with an admixture of marl and chert), soil conditions (at places deeper and very acid soils) and intensive spontaneous reforestation. We ascertain that, due to the facts enumerated, Paradisea liliastrum in the Krn mountains grows in slightly different grassland communities as usually elsewhere in the Alps. Provisionally we mostly classify them into the alliance Bromion erecti Koch 1926 and into the class Festuco-Brometea Br. Bl. et Tx. ex Klika et Hadač 1944.
