Development of Fe-Si-B-resin composite material for soft magnetic application

The soft magnetic composite materials SMC (which are the composite of metal powder and binding insulation material) for soft magnetic applications were developed. The most important of SMC materials ...specially for those used at a high frequency range is that the soft magnetic powders particles are well insulated from each other. The Fe-Si-B powders were prepared by water atomisation. The surface of micro crystalline powders was heat treated in a dry and wet hydrogen, chemically treated and investigated by XPS spectroscopy. The electrical breaking-down voltages of powders and SMC were measured.
