This article focuses on the modern technologies which seem to be having most impact in the foreign language learning; the Internet, which can now transmit multimedia files (e-mail, electronics lists, ...electronic chat and audio and video communication) and the CD-ROM, which remains the most common vehicle for delivering multimedia. It also offers some practical suggestions for using technology in foreign language learning education
