  • Interactions between polysaccharides and surfactants and the influence on the reheological properties

    Natural and synthetic polymers are the essential components of printing pastes. These polymers are of great importance for the quality of printing. Several interactions take place between the ... components of the printing paste, among which the addition of surfactants plays the most important role. The paper reports on the analysis of rheological properties of polysaccharide aqueous systems to be used as printing pastes. The effect produced by surfactant addition and the role of hydrophilic properties of polymers and surfactants are discussed on the basis of steady and linear viscoelastic properties.
