  • Reforms and economic recovery in Slovenia

    Altrough small, Slovenia must be considered as a progressive European country in transition. The article discusses most important reform steps after the first democratic elections in 1990. In this ... area Slovenia started in a good position, since some reforms had already started in the pre-transition period. Recovery of investment and growth followed the implementation of the basic reforms. In spite of this, systemic changes are some very demanding tasks for economic policy. Authors discuss developments and the state of affairs, primarily in the fields of privatisation, fiscal and monetary reforms.
