Virtual Reality (VR) is stimulating the user's senses in such a way that a computer generated world is experienced as real. Nowadays main focus of VR applications is on visualization. In order to get ...a true illlusion of reality,it is essential for the user to fell the virtual world. Haptic device enables user to touch a virtual object. Haptic rendering requires a detailed description of virtual environment than visual rendering. In this paper we describe the fundamentals of haptic interfaces, problems using a haptic device and present a way to extend existing VR with haptic rendering.
