Avtorica v pričujočem prispevku predstavlja reformo francoskega srednjega šolstva in jo skuša primerjati s prenovo šolstva v Sloveniji. Ugotavlja, da so francoski šolski reformisti uvideli, da morajo dati prednost ciljem, in ne predmetom, zato so v programski prenovi upoštevali predvsem koherentne povezave med predmeti. Meni, da je bistveno vprašanje, ki si ga moramo zastaviti ob programski prenovi slovenskega šolstva predvsem, kaj storiti, da bodo mladi ljudje iz šol prihajali sposobnejši za življenje v drugačnosti, da bodo bolj samostojni in neodvisni ter pripravljeni na vsakokratne spremembe.
