Stereotypes are an integral part of processing information; therefore, they belong to the human mental world, which co-shapes the social world, including by means of media texts with informational and entertainment content and communicative intent. Despite third-wave feminism, gender stereotypes can still often be found in these texts, thus maintaining the binarity of both genders and their characteristic (social) roles.
