In view of turbulent market responses, building resilient business models for global competitiveness is a crucial challenge for firms in emerging economies. This article examines how Indian firms can build resilient business models that can facilitate global competitiveness. The article presents a research model that defines requirements of domestic advantage. Key issues related to building a more responsive, resilient, and agile businesses in Indian context are discussed. To promote future research issues, the authors develop propositions that explain the relationships between relevant constructs. Using a single firm, extensive case study methodology, the authors illustrate the growth processes for domestic advantage and global competitiveness.
