The burglaries took place while residents were at home, but no one has been injured, Columbia Police Chief Dean Crisp said. Crisp said victims of the home invasions and car burglaries also have reported seeing some suspicious vehicles in the neighborhoods after the incidents. Anyone with information is asked to call Columbia Police at (803) 545-3500. Crisp said if someone sees suspicious activity going on in their neighborhood, they should call police dispatch at (803) 252- 2911.
