    In this descriptive study we wish to present educational practices which were developmentally adapted to the education of younger gifted children in 1996 in the U. S. We have defined a new term for ... the developmentally appropriate practices in the education of younger gifted children. The contents and the extent of this term are the following: Teachers and educators set on knowledge. Reflective educators and teachers. Educators and teachers' formation of a proactive educational environment. The emphasis is on educatorsand teacher's extensive knowledge of young children, the acceptance of differences, creating a humane, encouraging, flexible educational environment, a holistic view of a child, active and interactive teaching, experimental teaching, inner motivation, supportive counselling and discipline, authentic evaluation, locally based programs, involvement of parents, and cooperation of local educational resources
