    An abandoned quarry of calcareous sandstone, located at Strtenica in Eastern Slovenia, has been reopened for the needs of the restoration of two cultural monuments. Following preliminary ... conservation-restoration investigations, in Strtenica, of the degree of damage to the stone details of the Baroque chapels of the way of the Cross of St. Rok`s chuch and the stone elements on a farmhouse dating from the 18th Century, the decision was taken to replace the most heavily damaged stone elements with autochthonous stone.
