  • Deflections of glulam beams in changing humidity

    Deformations of straight glulam beams loaded by the constant load at constant temperature and in cyclically changing relative humidity were studied. The deflections of the beam were predicted by ... numerical methods in which the water content distribution was estimated separately. Afterwards the deformation of the beam was evaluated using the water content distribution as the input data. The results of water content distribution as well as deflections of the beam were compared with experiments performed in Januarty 2000 at the Slovenian National Building and Civil Ingineering Institute
