    Substrates enriched by keratine waste nitrogen (pig's bristles) were used in the production of ornamental plants.The outdoor experiment with five sorts of ornamental plants: blackberry 'Black ... Saten';Cotoneaster dammeri 'Mayor'; Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Kelleris Gold'; Juniperus sabina ' Tamariscifolia' and Picea glauca 'Conica'took place between August and September.Five treatments (0;0,5; 1; 2; and 4 kg waste pig's bristles added to the 100 l of substrate) by twenty repeats were used.The growth and rate of survival of plants were observed.The treatment with 0,5 and 1 kg pig's bristles had the best fertilizing effect on plants.
