    The computer controlled equipment for testing of wear in warm and hot forging dies has been developed. Wear test set up has been designed to update physical simulator Gleeble 1500. Testing equipment ... consists of an external induction heating device and a pneumatic sample manipulating system. Wear test reproduces basic industrial conditions. A large number of specimen can be deformed under equal testing parameters prescribed in computer program. The nominally isothermal, uniaxial hot compression tests, ring compression tests and plain strain compression tests have been used to tests the specimen properties. The geometry of the tool was designed using the finite-element-method and experimental data. New equipment enables to test all the materials coated with low conductivity layers of materials, for which the originally installed conductive heating system, is not adequate.
