  • Business process management (BPM) in Slovenian manufacturing companies [Elektronski vir]

    This article examines the role and extent of process management use in Slovenian manufacturing companies. Research was made in 2014 and reveals to which extent business process management (BPM) has ... been used in Slovenian manufacturing companies. Results of the study reveal us that the main driver for BPM initiative in Slovenian manufacturing companies is to decrease production costs. The most common practice to manage business processes is to manage selected processes. Slovenian companies show increasing interest for the use of BPM approach. The majority (88%) of the companies included in this research evaluate theirs BPM initiatives as successful. 7% of them evaluate that they were not, and 5% of them evaluate that theirs BPM effort was very successful. This topic hasn%t been studied in Slovenia yet and the results haven%t been presented in any paper yet. Results of this study will be interesting also for similar practitioners on the field of BPM implementation and use from similar transition economies and countries, such as Croatia is.
