    The purpose of the study is to find out what are the differences in activities, aspirations and meaning of different life spheres among employed partners living with children. In 145 dual earner ... urban families in Slovenia both partners were interviewed. Data were analyzed by the following methods: content analysis, Sign and Wilcoxon tests. There are some activities common to both partners such as informal work in family, watching TV, reading newspapers, contacts with relatives and friends and trips. Compared to men women less frequently participate in almost all creative and educational leisure activities; however the aspirations concerning these activities are not absent at women. Gender specific differentiation decrease at couples with secondary or higher education .
