Copper dissolution by copper(II) chloride in neutral solution and simultaneously proceeding oxidation of copper(I) chloride with air is used in novel technological process for the production of ... copper hydroxychloride. In laboratory bubble column reactor kinetics of both steps was studied under the conditions similar to those ot the industrial process. The dissolution of copper under neutral conditions was found to be first order reaction with respect to the sum of ▫$Cu^{2+} and CuCl^+ concentration. The activation energy, E_1=37.5 kJ mol^{-1}, and Arrhenius preexponential factor, k_{01}=723 cm s{-1} were experimentally determined for dissolution reaction. Oxidation of copper(I) chloride to copper hydroxychloride and to copper(II) chloride in neutral solutions containing 3.5 mol l^{-1}NaCl or up to 1.0 mol l {-1}dissolved CuCl_2 was first order with respect to oxygen and one and a half order with respect to copper(I) ion concentration in agreement with results of Papassiopi et al. (1985) obtained in solutions conataining 2 mol l{-1} NaCl as solubility enhancer. The kinetic constant k_2=1130 l^{1.5} mol{-1.5}s^{-1} at 60°C for the same reaction order n_2=1.5 with respect of copper(I) ion was observed at conditions close to industrial process where the concentrations of copper(II) and copper(I) chloride are 0<c_{Cf}<1mol l{-1}, 0<c_B20.3 mol l{-1}. The use of the kinetic data for simulation of the industrial process is demonstrated.$▫
