    Heart electro stimulation by resynchronization (CRT) improves the symptoms andthe important functional parametres in patients with acute heart failure. The delay in the intraventricular conduction is ... connected to the clinical instability and increased risk of sudden death. In researches that have been carried out so far, patients of functional classes from II to IV according to NYHA, with QRS complex lasting more than 120 ms, and with < 35 % pressed shareof the left ventricle. The COMPANION research added cardioverter/defibrillator (ICD) to the classical resynchronization. The results have shown for the first time right after the inclusion of 1600 patients into the research the improvement of survival with resynchronization alone as well as with the combined therapy (atriobiventricular stimulation in LCD). The mortality rate is now 15 % lower because of resynchronization and 40% lower because of the combined treatment.
