  • Pomen arterijske prekrvitve za celjenje ran
    Blinc, Aleš
Adequate arterial perfusion is necessary for successful wound healing, since pronounced hypoxia prevents biosynthesis and cell proliferation. Formation of granulation tissue is accompanied by ... angiogenesis. Newly formed capillaries provide oxygen and nutrients for the regenerating tissue. In critical limb ischemia obstruction of the arterial macrocirculation leads to dysfunction of the microcirculation, which prevents wound healing and may by itself lead to ischemic ulceration. Treatment of critical limb ischemia most often requires successful arterial revascularization, which is followed by gradual recovery of the microcirculation over the next few weeks. Transcuatneous oxygen tensionof s 20 mmHg in the periwound area predicts unsuccessful wound healing, whereas values of >= 40 mmHg predict successful healing.
