  • Efficient delivery of national military capabilities : the case of Slovene armed forces

    One of the biggest challenges for national governments in implementing security and defense policy has always been how to ensure the military capabilities, which includes personnel, equipment and ... infrastructure, as well as the doctrine of the operation, organization, training and support. States generally respond on new security environment with creating national armed forces, which has new capabilities able to withstand the current and emerging threats. Effective delivery of national military capabilities, however, requires a systematic approach that beside strategic requirements takes into account also the available resources. In the last ten years the institutional rules that encourage more efficient delivery of military capabilities has been firmly improved in the Republic of Slovenia.
