  • Sensing and acting in intelligent assembly systems

    ǂThe ǂdevelopment and use of intelligent assembly systems to automatize batch production is the most promising future direction in this field. Most of the governments of the world's developed ... countries are, through their scientists and production engineers, putting huge efforts into developing strategies, systems and components to realise the concept of intelligent behaviour in automated manufacturing. Sensors are one of the necessary components, like robot vision, tactile sensors and force torque components, are indispensable in these systems. A survey of the state of the art in sensor technics and plans for future development of the assembly process will be discussed in the present paper.
