  • Order based structuring of a distributed manufacturing system

    The paper reveals the development of the adaptive distributed manufacturing system (ADMS) ontology. Two aspects are discussed in the detail i.e. message description and convections in terms of rules ... of behavior. The structuring of ADMS is driven by two level optimization, namely, the order level and work system level. Parameters of manufacturing tasks are optimized according to cost and time criteria, taking into account the requirements of an order. At the work system level a workload of an elementary work system (EWS) optimization takes place, which interactively affects on the optimized solution and thus on the structure of the ADMS. The methodology of the order based structuring is basedon constraint logic programming.
