  • Surface evaluation methods for advanced AWJ cutting techniques

    This paper presents a novel approach to abrasive water jet optimisation experiments using Z cutting. A wiggled path was used in cutting direction. On the machined workpieces striation drag angle as a ... function of the depth was measured. Workpiece surface image were analysed, regarding the surface texture features by using image processing. The proposed surface evaluation method was proved to be very suitable for the evaluation of the AWJ cutting process results.
