  • Analysis of power of a captured Barkhausen-noise signal in the frequency domain of structural steel Fe360-B

    The paper treats results of a research of a cold-hardened ferromagnetic material obtained with a non-destructive micromagnetic method based on the Barkhausen noise suitable for determination of ... microstructural characteristics of a material. We used structural steel Fe360-B showing various final degrees of cold deformation as well as various thicknesses of a flat sample. Elaboration of calibration curves of cold deformation of the material as a function of a calculated voltage-signal power, variance and the voltage-signal Vrms, time lagging, and similar assessment parameters is a starting point of a practical industrial application. The paper gives a comparison of a captured induced voltage signal with a frequency distribution of the power spectrum.
